'Personal mythology' entry

Thanks for the prompt for citation on the date and quote change I initiated on the 'Personal Mythology' page. I have included the cite now. 149.161.34.225 (talk) 16:46, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Edit reversion

Why did you undertake this reversion? Axl ¤ [Talk] 18:11, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

I mistook it for an editing test. Sorry! —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 18:13, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
Ah, not to worry. :-) I use those template test pages as sandboxes. Very few other people use them. Bots come along from time to time and clear them, which I have come to accept. Axl ¤ [Talk] 18:17, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

Thanks

Great intro information. After reading a bit of it, I've discovered I'm a WikiGnome.

RFPP

I saw you removed your request before I protected this page. Do you still want this page protected? If so, you should have an unprotected subpage for non-confirmed users to contact you. --kelapstick(bainuu) 18:37, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Yes I still want protection for the time being.  :) I'll create that subpage as well. —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 18:44, 17 May 2014 (UTC)
Alrighty, I saw your second request, and replied to it. Again, feel free to discuss lengthening/shortening with me (or another admin) directly if you would like, but this should work for now. --kelapstick(bainuu) 18:47, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Propaganda in the citation/reference list in Dog Collars

I have checked on several of the citations and references in the dog collar page with are little more than adverts or misleading statements from certain 'commercially interested' parties with a differing opinion of the equipment listed. The information contained within the references is both unsubstantiated, and in some cases has been proven to be incorrect or sourced out of context from dubious studies. How do we report a misleading or false reference or link?

regards,

77.98.97.245 (talk) 17:54, 3 May 2015 (UTC)Austin

Hi there! Usually, we don't report it, we simply remove the incorrect or misleading information from the article. Please feel free to go ahead and do so. Also, if you view the editing history of the article, it is possible to find the person who originally posted the information and leave a message on their talk page. Cheeers!  :) —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 18:02, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Categorization of "List of half marathon races"

Hi.

I'm not sure why you reverted my edit on this page. The content of Category:Half marathons are individual articles on half marathon races, with the exception of 2 articles: Half marathon and List of half marathon races. The former was already sorted with *, and my feeling is that the list should be as well, as it's not just an article about a single race. Let me know if and why you disagree. Thanks! 24.130.172.5 (talk) 19:09, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

I didn't realise that was what the * was for. I mistook it for a typo. I understand now and of course you are right.  :) —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 19:38, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi This lousy T-shirt

I just improve my page but another editor told me that I don't have any chance that my page will be edited, what is your opinion ?

Thanks Bichonneau — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bichonneau (talkcontribs) 21:07, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Apparently, what they meant is that because the page is still a draft, it hasn't been moved to the main space yet, where others can edit it. If you feel it's ready, I can move it for you.  :) Let me know! —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 21:12, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Dear This lousy T-shirt

I am worry that if the page go to the other section, they delete it immediately. Maybe it is safer to keep it as a draft ? I did what I could for this page as it is hard but I would like to improve it. It is not very full of things like some other pages but it is very special and different and I think it should have a chance.

What do you think ?

Thanks

Dear This lousy T-Shirt,

But what should I improve to not be deleted ? What do you recommend me ?

Thanks Bichonneau — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bichonneau (talkcontribs) 22:19, 3 May 2015 (UTC) Bichonneau — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bichonneau (talkcontribs) 21:41, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi Bichonneau! :) I think you should keep it as a draft, at least for now, while you're in the process of improving it. —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 22:08, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
I recommend you follow the advice you got from SchreiberBike. If you do that, the article won't be deleted.  :) —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 22:45, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi lousy T-shirt,

This is it, I improved already and don't have more info to add for this page, what is your opinion ? Please advise.

THANKS --Bichonneau (talk) 22:37, 3 May 2015 (UTC)Bichonneau

The draft has been submitted to articles for creation and, in my opinion, looks great and should be accepted. I advise you to leave it as it is and just wait and see if it is accepted and has been created. If it's not accepted, they will give you the reasons why, and then you can ask me for help with that, if you need direction. But, like I said, the article will likely be accepted and created.  :) —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 05:06, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Kris Jenner Having Grand Children is Not a Career Move (yet)

Hi This lousy T-shirt,

I don't appreciate that you undid my edit on the Kris Jenner Page. Having grandchildren should not be listed under "career" on this page, as it was better suited under "personal life". In fact, there was already a substantial section on her family in this section. Please reverse it.

Best Wishes,
207.161.230.77 (talk) 07:12, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi there! I didn't notice that the information was wrongly listed under "Career." The view of your edit didn't show where it was listed and I assumed it was under "Personal life" and therefore removal of content. Anyway, I reversed my edit, per your request.  :) —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 07:21, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

Buddhism in Taiwan

Hello, I made a correction to the Wikipedia page on Buddhism in Taiwan which, I was just notified, you re-changed. The change in question referred to a photo "Portrait of a Taiwanese Buddhist monk" which is an error. The photo is of the great Shangpa Kagyu master Kalu Rinpoche who was born in 1904 and died in 1989. That is easily confirmable and therefore is a grave misrepresentation of Taiwanese Buddhism. The photo should simply be removed from a Taiwanese Buddhism entry.

Thanks for your message. I've removed the image from the article.  :) —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 22:38, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

I don't know who changed the demographics in the article, switching the African American and Caucasian percentages with each other, but it was probably a vandal. Project News
By Lionelt

Last month's auspicious relaunch of our newsletter precipitated something of an uproar in the Wikipedia community. What started as a localized edit war over censorship spilled over onto the Administrator's Noticeboard finally ending up at Wikipedia's supreme judicial body ArbCom. Their ruling resulted in the admonishment of administrator Future Perfect at Sunrise for his involvement in the dispute. The story was reported by Wikipedia's venerable flagship newspaper The Signpost.

The question of whether to delete all portals--including the 27 Christianity-related portals--was put to the Wikipedia community. Approximately 400 editors have participated in the protracted discussion. Going by !votes, Oppose deletion has a distinct majority. The original Christianity Portal was created on November 5, 2005 by Brisvegas and the following year he successfully nominated the portal for Featured Portal. The Transhumanist has revived WikiProject Portals with hopes of revitalizing Wikipedia's system of 1,515 portals.

The reconstructed frame of Nate Saint's plane used in Operation Auca

Operation Auca was an attempt by five Evangelical Christian missionaries from the United States to make contact with the Huaorani people of the rainforest of Ecuador. The Huaorani, also known as the Aucas, were an isolated tribe known for their violence, both against their own people and outsiders who entered their territory. With the intention of being the first Protestants to evangelize the Huaorani, the missionaries began making regular flights over Huaorani settlements in September 1955, dropping gifts. After several months of exchanging gifts, on January 2, 1956, the missionaries established a camp at "Palm Beach", a sandbar along the Curaray River, a few miles from Huaorani settlements. Their efforts culminated on January 8, 1956, when all five—Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, Ed McCully, Peter Fleming, and Roger Youderian—were attacked and speared by a group of Huaorani warriors. The news of their deaths was broadcast around the world, and Life magazine covered the event with a photo essay. The deaths of the men galvanized the missionary effort in the United States, sparking an outpouring of funding for evangelization efforts around the world. Their work is still frequently remembered in evangelical publications, and in 2006, was the subject of the film production End of the Spear. (more...)
