Ron Mueck[edit]

Well spotted. You are quite right, 'Ron Mueck' is correct and this is where the article was created. Unfortunately it looks a little more complicated. The problem was caused by an incorrect cut-n-paste page move on the 30th July. I'll need to do some fancy admin work to unravel those edits and restore the page history. -- Solipsist 09:53, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Solipsist, in fact I did realise once I'd switched the pages round that all the page history had been left on the "Mück" page and now there was no history on the "Mueck" page - I didn't know how to prevent this but I'm glad the switch hasn't messed things up! --Thoughtcat 15:11, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Russell Hoban Serpentine 16 10 10.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
add the relevant copyright tag.

Proposed deletion of Chris Bell (author)[edit]

The article Chris Bell (author) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Has been tagged for notability issues for 4 years and appears to be a CV for a barely known author. There is no suggestion of awards or recognition, other than an alleged review in a Sci-fi magazine.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jeremy Paxman[edit]

I came to your Talk page via Jeremy Paxman's Wikipedia page and I see that you have relatively few edits but they are to important Wiki pages of well-known personalities. I was wondering if you know any Wiki editor who might want to help me with English-to-Italian translations. I was looking at the Italian Wiki and I see scope for many pages pertaining to writers, publishers, professors and so forth.

For example, there is no page in the Italian Wikipedia for Emily Lakdawalla or Sonny Mehta. And so forth. I understand there is a list of volunteer editors who would be willing to do this or might be willing to do the translation but thought to ask someone directly.
