Lu Bu image[edit]

Hello Deadkid dk. I've never actually seen you complain about any of the Dynasty Warriors references or images appearing in the many Chinese historical figure articles you seem to patrol, although I always sense a hint of annoyance or dislike just beneath the surface. Is there something in particular grating on you about the descriptions, or am I completely off the mark? Gamer Junkie 10:47, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Completely agree, that's why I've added as many of the portraits as I have. I intend to get around to the others, but I've been busy with other articles, discussions, fights, etc. I'm not sure that most people focus on Dynasty Warriors more than the other titles so much as Dynasty Warriors is the only title most have had the opportunity to play. Personally, I've never been able to play the other titles, because they've never been available to the extent of Dynasty Warriors (and also because it takes me long enough to complete each DW outing as is without starting on one of its strategic cousins).
Anyway, I asked because some seem to feel that the games are an unwelcome intrusion into the historical context, although these same people are happy to accomodate the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" descriptions into the articles. Go figure, eh? Gamer Junkie 11:22, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
True, that's why I only use the portraits at the bottom of the page and add as much or as little information as necessary depending on the size of the article. Dynasty Warriors and RoTK are brilliant, but Koei/Guanzhong interpretations shouldn't take priority over the historical figure they are based upon. Gamer Junkie 02:33, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, sorry about that, mate. Reading closer, I see that it's about an anime/manga and not Dynasty Warriors. I should pay more attention, eh? Sorry again. Gamer Junkie 11:53, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Liu Bei" article[edit]

Yeah, I've used the three of them together on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms page. I wanted to find individual images of the three, rather than using the one image on all three articles. I found one for Zhang Fei, somebody else apparently found one for Guan Yu, but there's no Liu Bei image around. I know, it looks a bit rubbish, doesn't it? I was planning on replacing it as soon as I'd found an individual Dynasty Warriors 5 portrait or replace it later with the three of them together if I couldn't. If you want to get rid of it, go ahead, it was just a temporary thing anyway. Gamer Junkie 07:02, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd first thought that the three together was the only image until I found the Zhang Fei portrait, so I was just kinda hoping there'd be others. Anyway, I'm currently looking for a better version of the current image. If I find one, I'll upload it as soon as possible. Gamer Junkie 08:45, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Three Kingdoms Articles[edit]

Hello - just wanted to clear up that I am not specifically targeting the subjects from the Three Kingdoms - I am part of an assessment project and am currently in the process of assessing unassessed articles tagged to the WPBiography project. My current ranger is from X through Z. I am nominating the articles since they lack any substantial biographical information and contain no references and would appear to be characters rather than actual people. This is debatable, however, so I am leaving it to the community to decide whether or not the articles should remain or stay. I hope this is not offending you in anyway and please, if you can, furnish the articles with any information. --Ozgod 03:20, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As Ozgod also send a similar message to me, I have replied to him as follows:
You have also sent a similar message to me, but though I find the original deletion perhaps understandable, I do not find it so understandable that you are continuing. The WP article on the novel makes clear that this is one of the great classic Chinese novels, that it is historical fiction, and that all the principal characters are both in the novel and in real-world history. This is making a great deal of work for the rest of the people at AfD, but perhaps someone will as a result adopt them. DGG 18:28, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Danbooru's death TT__TT[edit]

I have been wanting to do with for some time and thought that maybe you could help. What would you think about creating an article on Danbooru? I think the website was notable enough for inclusion with WP:WEB, though I think the bulk of the article should contain a history section, citing of course how long its lifespan was and its recent death. Do you think we could create something like that?-- 07:09, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
