Well done on reaching GA for this article. As a major contributor to the body of work now on display you are entitled to display a GA template (there are many versions) on your user pages. (Please come to me if you need assistance with that process :-D ) --VS talk 21:25, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Cheers very much Steve! Utan Vax (talk) 22:13, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Martha Gellhorn

I don't think what you call your "clean-up" is at all helpful. Please revert it. In particular, your call for a citation IMMEDIATELY ABOVE a sourced quotation is really laughable. --El Ingles (talk) 17:10, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi buddy, thanks for your note. My edit removed numerous instances of POV, peacock words, and unencyclopaedic/informal/colloquial writing that isn't welcome on Wikipedia. My {{fact}} tag was picking up on this: "Her sexual desires seem to have been driven by the need for the companionship of alpha males rather than any kind of lust." (Emboldened myself) "Seem" is the key word here. That's an observation by the writer which you know we can't do. So that's my reasoning. I don't think I will revert as my edits were wholly constructive, I'm an experienced Wiki-editor and I know what I'm doing. Additionally, next time you leave myself or anyone else a note, please could you be a bit friendlier; I found your message to be slightly aggressive when you referred to my edit (albeit, in part) as "laughable". Please read WP:AGF. Thank you for your message anyway. If you still find fault with my clean up, I am willing to bring in a neutral-third opinion. :-) Thanks again. Utan Vax (talk) 18:30, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Why thank you!!!!

Ahoy there! Thanks for the support re: les trolls de genres. Obviously we have never met before or talked on MSN or anything. So I will take this opportunity to welcome you to Wikipedia. Enjoy your time here. Do not get stressed by it. And for Pete's sake do not try and become an admin. Some of them are real jerks who just turn around and quit the project. I know you won't be one of those. You just need to Xscape every now and then. As for me, I get relief through humour on Wikipedia. Edits like this one give me a chuckle and help me to enjoy my Wiki-experience a little more. Have a nice day! The Real Libs-speak politely 22:21, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Ever voted on a CfD before? Here is an example of one. The Real Libs-speak politely 22:26, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Wow. You're a clairvoyant or something. Only... my years as an IP were approx. two. I had an account for a year/half before that. My old account name was User. ..... oops sorry, can't finish, gotta run. :-D The Real Libs-speak politely 22:51, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

I've lost count

Is this guy 3RR on Metallica yet. I started a discussion 2 days ago over his POV delete fetish. No response. He's "one of those", y'know. The Real Libs-speak politely 00:42, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

I hate composing them. They have to be the worst pain in the arse procedures on Wiki. But I hav... nope.... no... I hold firm.... I won't do one. :D. Wikipedia is fun isn't it? Isn't it??? The Real Libs-speak politely 02:28, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: The "musical genre vandal"

Thanks for the notice. I think you might be right, but my message is also a plea for making good reports at AIV. We can't spend 20 minutes researching why the behavior is disruptive every time someone makes a report (or in the end no admin will bother patrolling this page any more) -- lucasbfr talk 08:50, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Keep an eyeball peeled

For Rockk3r's fanboyishness redirects of "The Legacy (disambiuation)" claiming the only article is the album page from the band Testament... a band he is a fanboy of. He has been working on the Testament discography page so any of the Testament albums that were dabs... like The Legacy... he re-directed tothe band's album page rather than leave the dab alone. I can guarantee 99% of Wiki readers don't give a flying f*ck who Testament is... and The Legacy can be a film, a book(article to be written) a structure... etc. Rockk3r also altered "Demonic" because Testament have an album with that title. Not sure which direction that should take. To me "demonic" is just a dictionary term. And likely what most people would look for.... perhaps looking for an alternate term IE all thesaurusy-like. Thoughts?? He also doctored "The New Order" again... 99% of Wiki readers wouldn't give a sh*t about the Testament album... likely looking for the meaning of the phrase or the origins of it. Again... thoughts?? The Real Libs-speak politely 12:37, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Ho-Hum

Go to Travelling Funeralition's talk page and read my last Ratty post there and provide your thoughts back to me. Also.. Ho-Hum :D The Real Libs-speak politely 15:00, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

I don't recall painting on any canvasses. I am not even an artist. (unless you can count profanity) What painting were you speaking of? Was I using oil or water. Canvass???... I am so confused??? ;-D The Real Libs-speak politely 22:43, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

And the troll of the day award goes to....

Albertrocker (talk · contribs). How in the world has this weirdo not been perma blocked yet is beyond me. An NPA on WesleyDodds page??? Some user/abusers just slip through the cracks. I used to know an admin who would've stomped on this fella a long time ago. But unfortunately that admin left the project. Too bad too.... he was one of the best. Re. Hej!

Hej på dig! I'm well thanks, but my Swedish is very limited in its written form these days. Are you from Sweden? Regards, Húsönd 22:15, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

The word you wanted to write is "från". I had a Swedish friend in my faculty and she taught me the basics (in turn, I taught her Portuguese). Then I started reading some newspapers in Swedish in order to learn more vocabulary. Soon we would keep strange conversations in Swedish and Portuguese at the same time. That was a long time ago, but I am glad when I visit the Swedish Wikipedia and realize I can still understand a good share of the Swedish there. It must be one of the easiest languages. :-) Húsönd 22:34, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
I did not become a fluent Swedish speaker, I could only understand it reasonably if spoken not too fast. It took me a couple of weeks to reach that stage. Yeah, the number 7 seems to be a perennial problem for Swedish learners. That Swedish friend of mine was from southern Sweden, where they pronounce the number 7 in the weirdest way. Anyway, Swedish is definitely not a hard language to learn. You'll be able to read newspapers soon if you just keep learning a little every day. By the way, yes, once you've learned Swedish, Norwegian and Danish come along as a bonus. ;-) Regards, Húsönd 23:42, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Note

Norwegian trouble-maker.. the uncivil Mr. Be Black Hole Sun.... after numerous blocks for vandalism, disruption, edit warring and personal attacks... is now editing under the name "User:Superunknown" I doubt his disposition has changed though. ;-) . I can smell a sockpuppet report coming :-D Enjoying your experience on Wikipedia yet. Will you stay around for awhile? The Real Libs-speak politely 19:38, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Can you help out

I forget procedure for COI advertising. An editor using multiple IPs and new accounts is tying to sell his product on the Slide guitar article. Where does that get reported?(you would think I would know by now :D ) The Real Libs-speak politely 14:31, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the reminder of procedure kind newcomer. The are wise in the ways of the Wiki-force. The Real Libs-speak politely 18:24, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Hej

Wrong for so many reasons

Eesh. I can't quote WP:NOR and WP:NPOV enough in the edit summary. My guess is that the school teacher isn't giving the kids enough recess time and the user wants to go out and play on the monkey bars rather than read the policies. Can you rv and assist in education of "what constitutes a really really really really stupid edit". :) How are things in Xciting Sweden-Buzzard? The Real Libs-speak politely 17:21, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Planes don't crash... what are you talking about??? :) You'll be just fine.... no drugs required. No excursions for me... unless you count in that Scouting season has started back up and I am taking my Cub Pack out for our first camp of the season in a couple of weeks. Last time I did that some assh*le of an admin blocked my IP for no reason and then never apologised for it. Admins can be such assh*les can't they? :-D People make mistakes and I can forgive that.... but never saying he was sorry... eesh.... not even the tiniest grovel at my virtual Wiki-feet for redemption for his extreme f*ck-up. Can you tell I am still boiling over that :D. Of well... s*cks to be my IP. Camp should be fun. Beyond that... my trip to Australia was cancelled so it looks like I am homebound. We had to say goodbye to our poor old pup a few weeks ago. Fam was sad about that... especially Mrs. Libs. But we have a new puppy in the house so things are interesting (to say the least). Puppies are so much fun... p*ssing and sh*tting on the floor everytime I turn my back on it. OH sooo much fun :D The Real Libs-speak politely 18:53, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm

Without even digging under any bridges... I've struck troll :-D. Where do these people come from and why must they get drunk before they edit? The Real Libs-speak politely 15:05, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the defence. Did you get a look at this other sub-bridge dweller that's been pov'ing his way out the door? The Real Libs-speak politely 21:09, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Now I see. I know what you mean with this guy. I'll leave a note telling him to cool it. Utan Vax (talk) 21:16, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Ever thought of a political career. Prime Minister Pat.... has a nice ring to it eh? You'd make a jolly good tory.... oops :-D.... I kid, I kid.. :-D The Real Libs-speak politely 21:32, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Music from the Elder

I'm not a fan of Kiss (by any stretch), but I have heard the album and it would definitely qualify as "Art Rock" because:

(1) It is a concept album (2) It uses instruments not typically associated with Rock Music (strings). (3) The artists (KISS) intended it to be seen as an Art Rock album. (4) The album artwork.

Having said that, it was a mediocre to fair album (regardless of genre). Jcam (talk) 20:58, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

The Rolling Stones article compares it to Jethro Tull probably one of the archetypal Prog/Art Rock bands. Th All Music review says it "resembles" hard prog rock. Given that and the following paragraph from the wikipedia article on "Art Rock": The Guide to the Progressive Rock Genres lists "art rock" under the subheading "Forms Tangential and Peripheral to Symphonic Rock/Progressive Rock." The guide states that "art rock" is "another term often used interchangeably with progressive rock, [which] implies rock with an exploratory tendency." The guide also gives another definition of "art rock", which "describes music of a more mainstream compositional nature, tending to experimentation within this framework" Jcam (talk) 21:07, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

It must've taken all day...

With one finger for typing and the other one stuck up his a**. Using your own user page for personal attacks/rants... isn't there a rule against that? Obviously he is one of the 'level 4' kids from school. Any way of dealing with this person... like with an admin brick to the cranium? :D Maybe that would get the mice running in the same direction. Be on the lookout for anti-guitar gear editors.... very distructive

I am not 100% happy with the way any of them look. And all could be better sourced. But for players like Buckethead... 90% of the articles readers viewing that page are going to be gearheads. Creating encyclopedic gear sections is one of the mandates of the Guitarist Project. And yet there are editors who are ignorant of this and every now and then you see distructive edits like this. I am a staunch deletionist. But I know how Wiki is supposed to "play to its audience as well. If someone tried to delete Clapton or Page's gear sections there would be a mutiny. "Gear" information what guitar players use these pages as a reference for. That is the "reliable information" they come here looking for. Trick is... making it reliable. Hard to do when it isn't there to build on. Do you concur? The Real Libs-speak politely 13:39, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

This would negate your list
