Orphaned non-free media (File:Sagar,Sagara,Shimoga,Bangalore,Karnataka.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sagar,Sagara,Shimoga,Bangalore,Karnataka.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hello Vmjmalali, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 15:56, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

January 2014[edit]

Your recent edits to the Sagara, Karnataka articles have been disruptive. Please do not move these articles again. The Wikipedia needs only a single article about the city in Karnataka. --Bejnar (talk) 03:37, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Karnataka has two towns with name Sagar[edit]

@Vmjmalali, Karnataka has two towns with name Sagar. One is in Shimoga district and the other one is in Yadgir district. I am writing this message to you as I noticed that you renamed Sagara, Shimoga District article to Sagara, Karnataka in January this year. I think this is ambiguous and creates confusion. I suggest you to rename the arcticle Sagara, Karnataka to Sagar, Shimoga District. Dattaputra (talk) 01:52, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sagara, Karnataka revisited[edit]

Your move on 31 August 2014 without discussion of the article Sagara, Karnataka was inappropriate, as was the previous move of last month that was made without discussion. Please discuss controversial moves, as you knew or should have known that this one would be, especially since you used non-standard spacing. See the new move discussion at Talk:Sagara,Karnataka,India#Requested move 31 August 2014. --Bejnar (talk) 21:39, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Dabbe Falls,Sagara, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Hotels in Sagara,Karnataka, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.tiptopresidency.in/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of Hotels in Sagara,Karnataka[edit]

Hello Vmjmalali,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hotels in Sagara,Karnataka for deletion in response to your request.

If you didn't intend to make such a request and don't want the article to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. LouiseS1979 (talk) 12:12, 10 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is just a courtesy as you blanked the page. If you ever do want to contest a speedy deletion, then use the button provided to explain why the page should be kept - you should not just remove tags. I'm sorry to put you under pressure, but you can't use Wikipedia in that way and should not remove speedy deletion tags. Please read WP:What Wikipedia is not before creating any more articles.
