Simple definition articles

Hello Wakari07! I've noticed that some of the articles you've created recently consist of little more than word definitions. For example Bahiraṅga and Antaraṅga. Per WP:NOT: "Wikipedia is not a dictionary, or a usage or jargon guide." If these articles can't be expanded with encyclopedic content, they should be moved to Wiktionary instead, which is designed specifically for word definition articles. They may look like stubs and simple definition articles, but they are concepts of certain philosophies. A student (of Yoga or a dravidian philosophy/religion or any consciousness science) may have good use for this reference at least as disambiguations or, at the very least, as redirects . While they may look as "little more than definitions" now and to the layman, i insist with the little argument i have, to note these (related) concept pairs: Bahiraṅga-Antaraṅga and Sabīja-Nirbīja as reference points rather than just as words. Yes, I would encourage you to group these words under higher concepts that can be developed into full encyclopedia articles. Alternately, you can use the {{Wiktionary redirect}} template to create a soft redirect to Wiktionary. Wikipedia articles generally don't include sections like "Antonym", "Transliterations", or "Etymology", as they are supposed to be about broad concepts, not individual words (although there are exceptions). These sort of entries are perfectly suited to Wiktionary though. Kaldari (talk) 18:27, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Whaling by japanese

the appropriate category for Japanese whaling would be "scandals and opinions". Therefore, it may be inappropriate for the news. Second possible match is "environment and ecology". Tech or science news should describe results or at least firm progress (experimental platform launch, for example), not the claims on progress commonly known to be false in case of Japanese whaling.

That's not research. That's actually the sort of lesson I was taught as a kid (more or less, and alongside "normal" education). Honestly, that "editor" is an IP, nothing more than a machine that needs a boot if you wish. I am sincerely sorry to hurt the sensibilities in a way I certainly not intended. As I see it, it's just that she uses the stage time offered by the Mass. paper to present her point. Strange show to watch for a non-American, simply talking next to each other. Transwiki is fixed. The term fits nicely in the "Category:Yoga" and among the 261 pages of "Category:Buddhist terminology". It can be seen as (part of) essential concepts used in source texts written in Sanskrit (the root language used for this lemma) and Pali and many other languages (eg. If you are that experienced an edd as you claim above you should know what PA means in the context of Wikipedia, as you do not please read wp:NPA and wp:agf. As to what I am calling out [[3]] in which you accuse other users of being agents of governments and of censorship, this is a violation of AGF and no personal attacks. You comment on content not users motives or actions. This [[4]], in effect saying others users are trying to waste your time and effort (you could always walk away you know?). But the clinchers is this [[5]] where you say another users does not think (please do not play the innocent "but I did not say it I asked a question" card). If you carry on like this you will get taken to ANI, and there is no way you will not get as block. You are invited to join the effort to revitalize and improve the Portal system...

The Portals WikiProject was rebooted on April 17th, and is going strong. Fifty-nine editors have joined so far, with more joining daily.

We're having a blast, and excitement is high...

Our goal is to update, upgrade, and maintain portals.

In addition to working directly on portals, we are developing tools to make portals more dynamic (self-updating), and to make building and maintaining portals easier. We've finished two tools so far, with more to come. They are Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Discussions are underway about how to further upgrade portals, and what the portals of the future will be.

There are plenty of tasks (including WikiGnome tasks too).

With more to come.

We may even surprise ourselves and exceed all expectations. Who knows what we will be able to accomplish in what may become the biggest Wikicollaboration in years.

I'd also like to let you know that the Portals WikiProject is working hard to make sure your support of portals was not in vain. Toward that end, we have been working diligently to innovate portals, while building, updating, upgrading, and maintaining them. The project has grown to 80 members so far, and has become a beehive of activity.

Our two main goals at this time are to automate portals (in terms of refreshing, rotating, and selecting content), and to develop a one-page model in order to make obsolete and eliminate most of the 150,000 subpages from the portal namespace by migrating their functions to the portal base pages, using technologies such as selective transclusion.
