The Original Barnstar
This barnstar is awarded to everyone who - whatever their opinion - contributed to the discussion about Wikipedia and SOPA. Thank you for being a part of the discussion. Presented by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Hello, Warddr. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Observe. Hack. Make., for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ad Orientem (talk) 20:17, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I tagged the article for deletion because it doesn't explain why it is a notable event and it didn't have any sources. If you can, try to explain it's notability in the article and back it up with sources (see WP:RS). Please refer to Wikipedia guidelines on notability (WP:GNG and WP:EVENT) for some help on how to establish the subject's importance. Once you have done this feel free to remove the PROD tag along with relevant maintenance tags if you have corrected the issues. If you get stuck and need some help check out WP:HD Ad Orientem (talk) 19:19, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Requesting an IP address block exemption, because I from time to time have to proxy through one of my servers to get a secure internet connection, and the ipv6 ranges of that server are targetted by both global and local ip blocks (the ips I use from these servers are mine, and I am sure they are not used for any kind of spam). I got a global IP block exemption [1] but still I get the local ip blocked message Warddr (talk) 02:16, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

We only usually grant IPBE where there is an actual need, and what you are describing doesn't rise to that level. PhilKnight (talk) 16:29, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

To be honest, I don't entirely understand why you need to use a proxy. Otherwise, yes, a global exemption is a an exemption for global blocks, and so you are still affected by local blocks. PhilKnight (talk) 14:02, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That is just good practice at a public hotspot. I don't use open proxies, MY IP adresses on MY personal server (I don't share with anyone else) are affected by a way to large range block... - Warddr (talk) 16:19, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
