2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

First, it's non-neutral because it is a subjective opinion - your opinion, the opinion of many, it doesn't matter. It's not verifiable. Second, it is not cited in your edit. Edits in Naalayira Divya Prabandham

Hi. One of the edits that you reverted a while ago in the article Naalayira Divya Prabandham by User:Chronikhiles appears okay to me, especially those other than the Tamil verse and its translations (if at all you consider removing the verse and the translation). For instance, the translation "Four Thousand Divine Hymns" is more precise and the spelling "Nammalvar" is the standard one (as in the article Nammalvar). The spelling "Nammaazhvaar", etc. are non-standard variants (perhaps a transliterated version found in sites such as "www.ramanuja.org"). Would you consider giving it a second glance? Thanks. I did a quick revert on the edit because it appeared to me to be opinion and, perhaps, OR... I reverted MY edit because I have to remember that I'm not out to revert 'bad' edits per se, just focus on vandalism. (I'm not always good about that) If that makes sense. I'm not saying the edit was a good one, but I reflected and decided that I felt it was a good faith edit. I actually wrote the book called Memetic Warfare. So for there to be a page called Memetic warfare seems to take my spot on wikipedia. Can you at least note inside this page that i am the auther of the book and that it is on amazon? only seems fair. Per WP:V, you must provide citations to support content added and the content added can only summarize what the published source says. Usually even a lazy author would bother to cite their own books. That's not what Chris Troutman said at all. You wrote "a" book called Memetic Warfare. You are welcome to start a page about your book (though, it's not recommended that authors create pages about their own books).
The fact that you called your book, Memetic Warfare, indicates that it exists as a concept and, thus, has a wikipedia page describing the phenomenon. You don't have rights to the concept of Memetic Warfare. Please read up on editing rules and guidelines before getting into trouble again. Ask if you need help! I agree. Immediately after reverting your edit and placing a warning on your page, I changed back to your edit on the page. Hi... Well, it's a case of putting 'non-information' into the article. If the reason for the cover photo was known, then the reason could be added (along with a source for the information). You're simply saying that "It is currently unknown why a poor emaciated black boy is the album cover photo.". First, is that true? Is it established that there is no-one at all that knows why that's the photo? I would guess that someone knows. Second, someone might just as easily put, "It is currently unknown why the colors of the cover are sepia rather than true colors" or, "It is currently unknown why the specific font was used for the title on the cover". Just my opinion, but the list of things we don't know could go on and on. I think for an encyclopedia, we need to find the information and include it rather than listing the things we don't know. I concur that that the changed headline and adding of height to the Infobux were a stretch encyclopedia-wise, but I found it to be in the gist of Swisher. I am a wiki newbie and have possibly been using the edit and publish tool too incessantly, apologies. But surely not all of the added material should be withdrawn? The only information that I reverted (withdrew) was the headline change and the place of birth that you added. Another editor before me reverted several other edits. My only concern was the 1 edit you made that I cited above. I'm sure it appears that I took out more than I did, but if you click on 'History' for the article, you'll see that wasn't the case. I notice that you have already left a message on the other editor's talk page. Please bear in mind that, when you're editing a Biography of a Living Person, greater care is expected to cite all sources of information. I'll put it to you this way... I have no issues with it. I have no interest or ownership of the article about this person. My only issue was with an unsourced addition that you made. I know that the edit was a good faith edit and I appreciate the dialogue and the efforts to correct it.
Now, again, having said that, remember that I'm not the be-all-and-end-all. There might be other editors who challenge the source and/or the info. I haven't spent the time to check all info and sources on that article. Yours came up so I contacted you on it.
You're really on the right track. Read over the linked stuff I gave you on BLPs and reliable sources and you'll get a good start.
