License tagging for Image:Wimbledon logo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wimbledon logo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:10, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Wimbledon logo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wimbledon logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Joke Edit to 142.68.67.248[edit]

My Name is Nathaniel R and I have been a user/editor of Wikipedia for almost 2 years now. I do not understand why you sent me a warning on a "joke edit" when all I did was edit a page that was out date. I did not intend to make a joke, only update the page. If you could please provide proof as to why you sent me a message concerning this "joke edit" I will be happy to remedy the situation. Otherwise, please refrain from sending ridiculous messages like this in the future Regards, --Nathaniel R 23:47, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Columbia University[edit]

Hi, just two comments. (1) The source you re-added doesn't seem to have anything to do with the incident it is listed with. The article you sourced is about Ahmadinejad's recent visit to the university, whereas the section you added it in is about the 1933 visit of the German ambassador. (2) I added the {{who?}} tag after the quote Luther's speech stressed Hitler's "peaceful intentions" because you did not cite the source of the quote "peaceful intentions". Thanks! 1) The article is also about Luther's visit. Read the full article. 2) It's in the reference you deleted. // Liftarn

Ellen DeGeneres[edit]

No problem; the lead expansion was way overdue. AUTiger » talk 13:19, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for the compliments. I try my best to fix pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Merotoker1 (talkcontribs) 03:23, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion[edit]

I noticed that you tagged the page Nirodh for speedy deletion with the reason "no info on notability; few internal links lead here; of little relevance". However, "no info on notability; few internal links lead here; of little relevance" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use WP:PROD if you still want the page to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 00:04, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
