Serena commenced her professional career in 1995, shortly before her fourteenth birthday, though she didn't transition to full-time tour participation until 1998. By the conclusion of 1999, she achieved a remarkable world ranking of #4 and has since held the coveted world No. 1 position for a total of 319 weeks.[1]

Hi Zeinab Alamgard! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Serena Williams that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism.
