August 2020[edit]

There is currently a discussion at Talk:Propaganda to resolve what to do about the lead image at the article, and you are more than welcome to leave comments there. Removing the image while the discussion is ongoing, and especially after another editor has objected to your edit, is edit warring and will lead to a loss of editing privileges if continued. signed, Rosguill talk 18:55, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have given an explanation to why i don't believe that this picture is a valid representation of propaganda, let along worthy of a cover photo. But my changes were automatically reverted literally a couple of seconds after they were made, without even reading my explanation. Ztoni998 (talk) 19:19, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ztoni998, please read my message more carefully. There's an ongoing discussion directly related to the issue you raised. Standard Wikipedia procedure is to not make changes to the content at-issue while a discussion is underway. You can participate in the discussion by commenting here.
More generally, if someone reverts an edit you make, your next step should be to start a discussion on the article's talk page, not to reimplement your edit. You should do this even if you think that other editors aren't considering your arguments properly or if you think they're acting in bad faith; that way, if an administrator does need to step in to deal with disruption, there will be a clear-cut case of the other editor not engaging with you properly, rather than two editors fighting each other and making a mess that's hard to parse. signed, Rosguill talk 19:29, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, i am new to editing so i was not sure where i should leave my message, but i will try to leave it there in that caseZtoni998 (talk) 19:32, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I'll send you a welcome message here that will contain additional useful links to Wikipedia resources. signed, Rosguill talk 19:41, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
