IPblock-exempt?[edit]

I notice that there is a such thing an IPblock-EXEMPT status. How does one get such a status. I am spending a lot of time in libraries again and would like to pursue such and exemption.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:21, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As noted at Wikipedia:IP block exemption, it is ONLY granted in cases where there is demonstrated need, and often removed when the need has passed. "Demonstrated need" in this case is that you are currently blocked by a hard block (no editing with accounts or IPs) from an IP address or IP Range where you are editing. It is unlikely you will be editing from an IP address which has been hardblocked. If you are, you'll know, because your inability to edit articles will tell you that. Unless and until you find yourself in that situation, it is unlikely that IP Block Exemption status would be granted. --Jayron32 04:29, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia doesn't need anything. But if you think that InterNACHI meets Wikipedia's criteria for notability of organisations, you are welcome to create the article (I suggest reading your first article or to put in a request at requested articles. --ColinFine (talk) 09:28, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

high risk merchant account[edit]

Hello, My article on High risk merchant account is removed no matter how many times I revise it. There is a huge importance for merchants to know the difference between a merchant account and a high risk merchant account. We have been in the industry for 10 years and everyday we deal with educating people on the differences. I wanted to create a qiki page that explained this. In short, just so you can understand. Typical banks like " Chase bank, Bank of America, wells fargo, ect" will only set up merchant accounts for retial stores that "physically can touch" a persons credit/debit card. Places like, dry cleaners, clothing stores, restaurants, jewelry, ect. They WILL NOT set up merchant accounts for industries such as: Call centers, Diet Pills online, MLM, Hotel discount websites, Coupon sites, Debt collection agencies, credit repair agencies, tech support companies, ect. These companies need a "high risk merchant account" because all of their customers are not face to face with the merchant and there is a higher probability for chargebacks or stolen credit cards. Their rates will be higher and there will be more rules and regulations with these "high risk merchant accounts" That being said, I really would like to create the page to educate the public on the vast differences but it seems that due to the lack of awareness of wiki editors they think it is advertising, so if you could help me better understand I would really appreciate it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bmp17 (talkcontribs) 14:22, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It is actually still located at High Risk Merchant Account it just doesn't cite any sources as to why high risk merchant accounts are notable or verifable. Including those will greatly increase the odds of the articles survival. uhhlive (talk) 14:48, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia projects[edit]

I was looking at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions when I noticed at the top an invitation to take part in a survey on harassment. The first question in the survey was about how often I take part in "Wikimedia projects". I have no idea what these are, so I tried to find out, failed, and abandoned the survey. Is this Help Desk a "Wikimedia project"? How about "Wikipedia:Graphics_Lab", or Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chemistry? If users unfamiliar with this obscure piece of terminology are forced to abandon the survey, there'll be a lot of bias in who can take part. Maproom (talk) 17:27, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A Wikimedia project is a wiki-based project run by the Wikimedia Foundation. Everything at wikipedia.org is part of Wikipedia, the best known Wikimedia project. See meta:Harassment survey 2015. meta: is a coordination site for Wikimedia projects. I haven't seen the survey and think it's only presented to a small part of the visitors of Wikimedia projects. The questions are apparently not published until after the survey is over. Based on your post I guess some or all of the questions are not specific to the project the user saw the survey at. The bottom of your contributions page has a link on "accounts" to meta:Special:CentralAuth/Maproom. This shows which Wikimedia wikis your account is registered at (currently 131 including language editions), and how many edits you have there. If you view a page at a wiki while you are logged in at another wiki then your account is automatically registered, so the list may include wikis you don't remember. The Victims Perth Band, rebuttal on character assassination by David Faulkner & James Baker.[edit]

For starters, I was never ever informed to any re releases via 1977 Records Japan, if I was asked I would have declined, because the music at best is moderate to say the least, in fact it sucks, I had let past releases through but again, was never ever consulted if my mechanical rights could be used. The LIVE album, I would NEVER have allowed to go ahead, due to the simple fact its embarrassing for me to listen to what is no more than utter rubbish, out of tune out of time and in general, bad all round.

David Faulkner & James Baker have never ever sought my permission, never called me not texted me via Facebook, in which I am freely available, so for your article to state they disagreed with me is wrong.

I declined on the release of the song "High School Girls" to be used in the movie for the "MULE" because I felt it totally inappropriate a 56 year old man allowing a song about picking up high school girls, especially in a climate were pedophilia is rife.

I would like you to advise me on what in your opinions would be the best forum to contact to settle matters once & for all? as I am sick to death of hearing liable statements from both David Faulkner and James Baker? Finally, I am seeking legal advise toward the consistent liable comments from the two parties concerned. Incorrect details[edit]

The information about Royal Navy ranks at this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Navy_officer_rank_insignia is incorrect. For example an OF-4 Navy equivalent is a Commander not Lt Commander and an OF5 is a Captain.

The error arose from a change to Template:Ranks and Insignia of NATO Navies/OF/Blank in July 2015 which put in the US system instead of the NATO system. I have corrected this. See Template talk:Ranks and Insignia of NATO Navies/OF/Blank. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:22, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season[edit]

Articles are made and edited by volunteers who choose what to work on. Nobody is assigned specific work so we cannot predict when somebody will make an article. If you click "View history" and then "oldest" on articles from previous years then you can see when they were created, for example 19 December 2014‎ for 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season.[1] 2016 may or may not be similar.
