About Template:Chinese and Template:Infobox WorldScouting and the typesetting problems with aligned pictures in an article[edit]

I've found a problem. When Template:Chinese and Template:Infobox WorldScouting used, the position of left or right aligned pictures cannot fit the correspond section(s) in an article (e.g. Scouts of China). Edit Wikipedia article to appear in Google search[edit]

I have created an Wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grindlay_Peerless) but only the Netherlands version appears when searching for 'Grindlay Peerless' in an google.com and google.co.uk rather than the English version I have created. I have changes the advanced settings for the page so that it can be indexed by search engines but this does not seem to have made any difference. Could you please help me rectify this so that the English page can be found as well? Thank you. "Followed by..." in book infobox[edit]

I was just perusing the Firefox (novel) article, and notice that in the infobox it says that it was followed by Wolfsbane.

Chronologically, this is true - Wolfsbane was released directly after Firefox, but it's confusing for a reader because Firefox had a direct sequel (indeed one that starts the instant Firefox ends,) Firefox Down. The infobox suggests that Wolfsbane is a sequel to Firefox. It also seems confusing that lower down in the article it broaches Firefox down as being the sequel - so one might wonder why Wolfsbane is listed in the infobox.

It would seem to make sense that "followed by" should be the sequel? Is there a precedent for this? Chaheel Riens (talk) 12:42, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Chaheel Riens. The best place to discuss improvements to an article would be the article's talk page; but if you think that you can improve an article, you are welcome to be bold and edit it. I haven't looked at the article, but from your description, perhaps it needs a little expansion to clarify that the publication order is not the same as the internal order. --ColinFine (talk) 13:00, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There's some discussion of this at the Talk page for the infobox here. For what it's worth Template:Infobox film used to have a similar parameter and it was deprecated precisely due to editorial issues over its usage and generally a consensus that navboxes were preferable. ColinFine, notwithstanding that the last person to use the talkpage was me 4 months ago (not a high view article!) but I didn't want to be erroneously bold as although I'm discussing improving the article, I'm discussing doing so in a manner that may have wider implications as it impacts the usage of the infobox and parameters within it.

Yarn Works Apartments, Fitchburg, Massachusetts

Colantonio converted the historic Fitchburg Yarn Mill building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, into 96 units of mixed income housing for WinnCompanies. The 182,500 square foot building sits on the banks of the Nashua River and features more than 280 8’ x 10’ windows. The Architectural Team was the designer for the project.

Jamaica Plain Library, Boston, Massachusetts

Colantonio restored the historic Jamaica Plain Branch of the Boston Public Library. The 1911 building, which sits on the corner of South and Sedgwick Streets, had its last renovation in 1936. A glass-enclosed, 2,500 square foot addition to house the new main entry, community meeting spaces, workrooms, a maker space and a reading terrace. Other upgrades include new restrooms, mechanical systems, finishes and exterior landscaping. The architect for the project was Utile, Inc.


New Public Works Facility, Norwood, Massachusetts

The 57,000 square foot project spanned three locations in downtown Norwood. It included site work; demolition; construction of four new buildings, including a new administration building and vehicle maintenance facility; and the renovation of one structure. The facility was kept operational on an extremely restricted site. Weston & Sampson designed the project.

Hello, Amy. Thank you for disclosing your conflict of interest and requesting edits, rather than going in and changing the article directly. A more appropriate place to make the request is the talk page Talk:Colantonio Incorporated, and I have copied your request to there, and added the template {{request edit}}, which will put it on a list of suggested edits. There is a backlog on this list; but what I will say is that any volunteer who picks up your request will have to go searching for a source for each of the pieces of information you have asked to be included, because only information which has been reliably published should go in a Wikipedia article. You can reduce their work, and so make it more likely that somebody will be willing to look at your suggestions, by finding the references yourself. Death Euphemisms...[edit]

Does anyone know if there is specific guidance in the Manual of Style to avoid "lost a battle with cancer" and similar Euphemisms in terms of describing how someone dies? It would seem that "died of cancer" would be better.Naraht (talk) 21:45, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
