Yes, you can. You have sufficient service time and so forth. You know how to make references and all. And the entity is probably notable.

You are recommended to go to Wikipedia:Articles for creation and work from there. You don't have to, but it will increase the changes of your article being accepted.

However, the main question you need to ask yourself "Am I really able to write about such a controversial body as the Indian Performing Rights Society"? You need to be able to be completely evenhanded. Set yourself the goal that, when you have finished making the article, a person reading will be completely unable to figure out what your opinion of the Indian Performing Rights Society is. Can you do that? If you can, you will be welcomed into our community as a colleague and a star. The details of stuff like correct formatting, all that is secondary. Why prohibit editing?

I come from China, I try to modify the Wikipedia page, why forbid me to edit, and I are carried out according to the objective facts of editing. Man888888, you are not prohibited from editing. But if you want to contribute to Wikipedia it is important to follow established policies. In particular, when you add content to an article, you must cite a suitable source – all Wikipedia content should be verifiable. Purposeful Defaming

I am taking care of Wikipedia profile of Ismail Ibn Musa Menk (Mufti Ismail Menk) who is a renowned Islamic Scholar. The link of profile is at Ismail_ibn_Musa_Menk. There are some content writers who are working purposefully to defame him by quoting wrong and editing his article in a way that the reader is misguided and misinterpreted. Would like you to look into this matter on priority and seriously.

Such information should be based on published reliable sources to be verifiable by other editors and readers. If you are interested in editing Wikipedia, I recommend to register an account. PD-India-URAA

I wonder if the images at Miss Malini (a 1947 Indian film) fall under the criteria for PD-India-URAA? Because pictures older than 60 years in India fall under PD-India, but PD-India-URAA just complicates it further. I'm sure the film is completely in public domain since it is lost, the production studio is gone (it's founder died in 1969), and it couldn't have been copyrighted in 1996 when it was unlikely to have survived. --Kailash29792 (talk) 13:49, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

@Kailash29792 and Lourdes: Assuming the film was published/made available to the public in 1947 and PD-India is the only applicable tag, it would be PD in India but not the US, and the URAA tag would not apply. Nikkimaria (talk) 11:42, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

It is impossible to determine when the film (released 26 Sept. 1947) entered copyright over where. Anything Indian satisfies PD-India if it is older than 60 years, but per URAA, it should have been public domain on 1 January 1996. So will there be a day when the copyright will universally expire? Company Page

A while back someone created a company page, not from our company, and didn't fully name our company correctly. Right now it states Utex Industries. But we are actually Utex Industries, Inc. Yunshi, not only have you failed to answer their perfectly reasonable questions, but you've also nominated it for deletion.

I suggest you first read Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with close associations.

a) Yunshi is correct that Wikipedia avoids adding the "inc" (or "limited" or "incorporated" etc), for all such articles. The name of the page is unlikely to change.

b) I've already asked for the logo to be added, here, Wikipedia:Files_for_upload#Utex_Industries_logo.

c) Feel free to comment in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/UTEX Industries

Population density question

Does Wikipedia have a standard, or policy, to calculate population density? If so what, or where, is it? If not, what formula for calculating population density is acceptable? Hello StephenTS42, in general, I would suggest using the standard formula of population per km² or per mi². With respect to which population figure is to be used in such a calculation, it would depend on the year that you are calculating the density for – an official census figure is almost always acceptable (and in cases where such figures are challenged by any editor, go by whatever consensus emerges on the talk page of the respective article). @Lourdes: Much thanks for your answer! When editing an article with an infobox settlement and the parameter population_density_sq_mi is set to auto it is apparent that the formula you mentioned is followed. However, there are many cities with borders that extend over bodies of water (or other uninhabitable areas) that if the standard formula were used would result in a distortion of the actual population density. I noticed that National Geographic uses a slightly different formula: number of people ÷ the area they occupy = population density. In other words, only the area within the boundaries of a municipality that can be occupied by people is factored in the formula. I realize numbers can be entered manually into info-boxes, but another editor who follows strict adherence to argumentum ad antiquitatem, (i.e.: the way things have been done before) is hard to sell on the idea. So, that is reason I am looking for, in Wikipedia, whatever formula is used or applied, if there is one. (It might help to persuade a change of mind: either mine or his.) I understand. I don't know of any editing guideline with respect to population density. Editing as per precedent is a sensible option (which, you mention, is the logic that the opposing editor is apparently forwarding). You could consider taking up the issue again at the talk page of the relevant article and go by consensus on that page. In case you believe that the dispute cannot be resolved thus, you could follow the steps listed out at dispute resolution to reach a conclusion. A request for comment is also a sensible method to resolve such an editing issue that has not been resolved otherwise. You could consider starting an Rfc on the talk page of the relevant article, requesting the responses of our editors on how the population density should be calculated for that particular page. The new article you posted wasn't POLYOXFEN by any chance, was it? Because that article was created by User:Green Health Advocates, but it's substantially the same as what you put on your user page.

At any rate, if by "live" you mean searchable by Google or other search engines, yes, there is a period of time during which articles are checked before they become indexed by search engines. As for that article, there were a number of problems with it, and someone has made the decision to redirect it to Mitragyna speciosa.

Before you try again I recommend you read your first article, which gives helpful advice for writing a Wikipedia article. Since this article involves a medical product, I recommend you read this page which provides guidance on sourcing for medical articles. Assuming you work for one of the companies developing this product, I recommend you read our guideline on managing a conflict of interest. Lastly, once you have read and processed all that, I recommend you use the articles for creation process as they will help evaluate and check the article and guide its development. Kerribeckman, you also need to provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that she meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to her, press releases, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what she claims or interviewing her. The sad and ironic part is that buried in the copyright violations and promotional language is a possibly notable athlete/reporter. I don't care about athletes, but somebody who does might be able to write a legitimate article about Allred. Can ProteinBoxBot be sent to a task?
