Move Icon[edit]

I cant find the move icon on my page to push the article in my sandbox. Any assistance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kwabena Kwabi (talkcontribs) 07:28, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You can't move because your account is not yet autoconfirmed. David Biddulph (talk) 07:38, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I did a little bit of cleanup on your draft. You can nominate your sandbox through Articles for creation for someone to review. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 07:48, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There is a humongous backlog though, so be prepared for a long wait. Clarityfiend (talk) 19:36, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I also made some minor edits, to improve the lede. I think you're better off using Wikipedia:Article wizard. The article would need to be called Opemso Festival as the draft name when submitted. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 21:48, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Kwabena Kwabi: pinging user. (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this: ~~~~. Or, you can use the [ reply ] button, which automatically signs posts.). TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 21:49, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Grandfather text[edit]

Emanuel Benjamin Vella (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Why is the text on the page about my grandfather getting deleted???

this is the second time! I have firm permission from the committee of the website 'L-Akkademja tal-Malti' to reproduce in translated form, most of the text available, which is historical factual information about my grandfather.

I would like a reply on this and if you feel that something can be adjusted to make it better, then please let me know instead of flatly DELETING the entire work!!!!

@Moonbathe: The text has been removed as it is a copyright violation. Copyright violations cannot be allowed to remain for legal reasons. We can't just take your word that you have permission, the text must be properly donated with the appropriate license. Please read WP:DCP to learn how to do this(or even if you can do it, as you must have the authority to do so). If you are editing about your grandfather, you may need to review conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 12:05, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Moonbathe: Please also see WP:COPYREQ for how to add / donate material where the copyright is owned by others. Please don't ask the same question in more than one place or give eMail details. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 12:14, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Moonbathe:We delete material that violates copyright because we obey the law. Editors are not given the authority to violate the policy. Sorry. Therefore, to use the material, you must show that it has been released under a compatible copyright license as described above. -Arch dude (talk) 16:27, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request changing username[edit]

Helped
Hello, I wanna change my username to "Aram", but that username already existed with no contribution. But i'm very active user at ckbwiki. What should i do to do it properly? Thanks! ⇒ AramTalk 14:16, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @ئارام بکر: Since the requested account has contributions on another wiki here: [1], in order to request the name change, you'll need to follow the process here: [2]. Orville1974 (talk) 14:37, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, @ئارام بکر: I see your request got denied. It needs to go in the next section down (Requests involving merges, usurps or other complications) since you're asking to usurp the name from this inactive editor: [3]. Orville1974 (talk) 00:17, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Orville1974: I requested again in the another section, but is that section has any risk on my account? ⇒ AramTalk 06:00, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@ئارام بکر: Great! You found the right place. The on-hold status you see is because the steward is attempting to notify the editor who currently has the username you want. That user has 30 days to respond and object to, or permit you to, take their username. Since they haven't been active in years, most likely the 30 days will pass with no response, and the steward will proceed with your request to usurp the username. If they do respond and object, there's no risk to your account; you would just have to decide on another username if you still want to change from the one you currently have. @Orville1974: Thank you so much! ⇒ AramTalk 09:03, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong score posted in Wikipedia pages that are accessible in other languages.[edit]

Hello! I have an odd request. In doing some research for a book one of our players is writing, he noticed that the score for the game from the 1991 Bandy VM USA vs Norway game was quoted incorrectly for every wikipedia page except for the dutch language. The score of the game was shown as 21-1 Norway vs USA and it actually should be Norway 2 USA 1. Obviously a big difference. The story he is writing tells of that game so it is important to have this correct. I have updated the USA page and we know the dutch page is also correct but I was told that the pages in Russian, Norwegian, FInnish, Swedish, German, and Slovak all are showing the incorrect score of 21-1 instead of 2-1. I don't know how to access those pages in a different language so that I can update them as well. Can someone help me?

 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Bandy_World_Championship

Score is under the "Final Tour" section. The English page which is the link above is now showing correct. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Aknutson19: I recommend placing a request here: WP:Contributing_to_articles_outside_your_native_language. This way you can place one request and editors familiar with each language can make the respective changes. You'll see the section (Requests for assistance) where you can enter your request toward the bottom of the page. Orville1974 (talk) 17:34, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have any reliable sources that support your statement? All other Wikipedias will accept the change if you provide sources. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 11:57, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
