Page move and resulting template questions[edit]

I moved Aphra to Aphra (moth) to create a dab page. However, I'm not sure how to adjust the Automatic_taxobox template in the moved article and the speciesbox templates of the four species in the Aphra genus, nor whether I should boldly change the Template:Taxonomy/Aphra Link field (probably, but just to make sure). Clarityfiend (talk) 09:19, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I added Aphra (moth)| to Template:Taxonomy/Aphra (at 2nd attempt), which seems to have fixed the problem for all 5 pages. ◅ Sebastian Helm 🗨 12:00, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Issue with file[edit]

Hello, I can't see the thumbnail of the old version of the file File:Carrillo elementary school.jpg. Is this an issue on my end or something else? — MATRIX! (a good person!)[Citation not needed at all; thank you very much!] 14:43, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also unable to see or find it. It was uploaded as File:Carrillo.jpg in 2006. A new file with the same name was uploaded in 2009 and moved in 2021. The original version apparently got lost somewhere in the process. The same user uploaded File:CarrilloIn.jpg in the same minute.[1] Maybe the files were identical or similar. commons:File:Carrillo.JPG is unrelated. PrimeHunter (talk) 17:45, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, I might just request a WP:HISTSPLIT to see if that works. Also, looking at the user who uploaded this image's user page, they look like two images that are different but of the same place (File:CarrilloIn.jpg is presumably the interior of said place) — MATRIX! Question about how to correctly include an article source[edit]

Hi there,

Some days ago, I wrote this Wikipedia article together with another person:

es:Asdrúbal Blanco

The current sources of information are written in the "external links" section, but there is another source that we would like to include in the article and we haven't been able to include it because Wikipedia seems to not accept YouTube links as sources. This Wikipedia article is about Venezuelan actor Asdrúbal Blanco, and the YouTube link we wanted to include is a recent interview with him where he says many things that we wrote on his Wikipedia page. How could we do to put the YouTube interview with the actor himself as a information source, and how could we fix the sources problem?

Best regards and thank you in advance. 2A0C:5A81:E209:7800:9880:59B6:B26A:BF18 (talk) 20:04, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The article you are referring to is on the Spanish Wikipedia, not here. Hence you will have to ask for assistance at their Help Desk, since they are a separate project with their own rules and policies on citations. Mike Turnbull (talk) 20:07, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Spanish Wikipedia's Help desk appear to be at es:Wikipedia:Café/Archivo/Ayuda/Actual. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 03:08, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that at least in the English-language Wikipedia, we do not consider interviews with the subject of an article as reliable sources, as human beings tend not to be entirely truthful about themselves. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:02, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The order of the first 3 citations are not in chronological order. Citation number 1 is double up. Did I do something wrong - I cannot fix this. please help. thanks you 115.70.23.77 (talk) 22:55, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I guess you were startled to see three footnotes to one sentence appear as “[2][3][1]”. This is nothing to worry about. When a reference is cited more than once, it gets only one number; and it so happens that the last of these three is a repeat. If you find it æsthetically displeasing, the cure is simple: move the last “<ref …/>” ahead of the other two. —Tamfang (talk) 23:03, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"The brothers' brother, Lord Mayor of Leeds Sir Charles Lupton, was filmed in 1915 inspecting the Leeds Pals at a camp near Colsterdale in the Yorkshire Dales where the battalion underwent training. The Lord Mayor's brothers were also present at the event." I do wonder how significant it is that this or that person was present at an event. And "brothers' brother" makes me wonder about the brothers' brother's brothers. -- Hoary (talk) 09:29, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
