Mary Whitehouse quote[edit]

Whenever Mary Whitehouse is mentioned in TV documentaries, they usually show a blac-and-white clip of her saying something along the lines of "Last night at 6.30 we sat down and watched a show that was the filthiest thing we have seen in a long time". Not sure of the exact wording, but something like that anyway. By chance, is that the BBC show that had a skit about law office in which all the workers were nude? I remember seeing the skit, but I've blanked everything else from my memory. In fact, I only assume it was BBC because I remember them speaking English. However, it could have been a show while I was in Norway because I also remember a commercial with a dancing purple cow somehow related to it. PS2 troubles with LCD TV[edit]

I have a slimline PS2 hooked up to my 48cm MTV LCD TV via component cables, and while it'll play PS2 games fine, I can't get PS1 games to display on the TV; the display just goes blue and won't display anything. The same problem occurs on our 42" LG plasma television. I've had no trouble with PS1 games on CRT TV's, my woes seems to be LCD/plasma specific.

Is there any way to get PS1 games working on LCD's/plasmas, or am I out of luck? --Lumina83 00:46, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which Amitabh Bachchan movie had a song where he sings "Angrez bole "I Love You", Gujarati bole "I Love You (in Gujarati) and Bangali bole "Ami Tomake Bhalobashi"? and it stars himself and Parveen Babi?

Do you know anything about the plot? Without watching all of his movies, it would be hard to know. It could be Ameer Aadmi Gharib Aadmi or Desh Premee, but the two starred in a dozen or so other films back in the late 70s and early 80s. --Kainaw ^(talk) 04:11, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the song is from movie, Khuddar, which also starred vinod mehra and sanjeev kumar.

Clockwork Orange[edit]

It was unique for its time. The fast cuts, over-saturated color, loud music, and violent story were enough to get people talking. Which other movie of its time has dialogue largely in its own, bastardised, language and yet is entirely understandable? Has such graphic and brutal sex and violence, set to an electronic interpretation of classical music that gives it an almost balletic quality? Combine this with the innovative and stylistic touches of Kubrick's direction, who was already the considered the enfant terrible of cinema after Lolita and Strangelove, the subversive social comment and a fair amount of controversy - and you have all the markings of a critical love-in. Who is the Christopher Meloni looky-likey?

The mac pc commerical ...is that the actor christpher meloni that plays on law&order svu? Thank-you BBell

As a matter of interest, which one did you think he was, Mac or PC? I can't see the resemblence in either. Mind you, I can't talk, as I was convinced that Ted Sprague from Heroes was the caveman from the GEICO ads. Apparently I was not the only one who (incorrectly) thought this .
