September 7[edit]

A website to find the background/lyrics/instrumental music to songs.[edit]

I need to find a website that will have the music for all the instruments in a song and the lyrics. Right now the song I need it for ("To Another World" - Looking Glass Wars Soundtrack) mostlikely wont be on it since its a new release, but is their such a site with a large musial database? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.183.196.100 (talk) 04:34, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely I would say. Your best bet would be to google "song title - bass tabs" then "song title - guitar tabs" etc. SGGH speak! 10:30, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Underwear Music VideoS[edit]

There are 2 music videos I saw bout underwear but I dont know the song. One was about a shy boy at an underwear party. Everyone else is in their underwear but hes too embarrassed. FInally he decides to undress but then he see a girls whos also shy and they both dress and leave together

Artist: Jimmy Eat World Song: The Middle. [youtubevid] Yes, J.E.W. Rocks!!! --i am the kwisatz haderach 17:58, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The other one has a guy and a girl who walk around the town in their underwear picking up their clothing that was flung around town the night b4. --Sade22 17:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The first one is The Middle by Jimmy Eat World. The other one sounds familiar but I can't place it. Adam Bishop 17:58, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure that the second one is a music video, and not an advert that had the music Somewhere over the Rainbow sung in a cool style? Skittle 22:23, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This Lynx ad? I think the music is by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. Skittle 22:35, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well that was cute. I haven't decided whether or not some allusion to a Møøse in the subtitles would make it more so. —Tamfang 04:48, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
? Have you seen some alternative version of Grail in which the psychedelic lights are replaced with people finding their clothes? Skittle 23:47, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Virgin Festival Toronto[edit]

The schedule (including times) for the Virgin Festival in Toronto (Aug 8-9) was announced today and is now available at: www.myspace.com/virginfestivaltoronto. Unfortunately, neither I nor any of my co-workers are able to access it. I have spent the last several hours looking EVERYWHERE on Wikipedia and the internet, but all promises of a schedule lead back to the above referenced site. I was wondering if someone...anyone....could access it and post the times to the Wikipedia site before I go crazy. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.146.167.173 (talk) 17:32, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well you could have saved yourself many hours by going to the official website :) The lineup is here. The Pumpkins are quite inconveniently playing at 9:10 on Sunday night. Do you know how impossible it will be to get on the ferry after that? Why do they put this thing on an island?! Adam Bishop 17:57, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know the title of this Movie?[edit]

I am looking for a movie i saw when i was a kid. i was pretty young and probably shouldn't have been watching something so scary so i only remember bits and pieces of it. It was about a teenage guy and i am pretty sure he was living in a house with his parents. He falls in with this wierd crowd thats into some sort of rituals that they do in a cave and he starts to change (possibly because he refused to drink some mysterious liquid). I'm pretty sure its a vampire movie. The part i remember most vividly is at some point in the film he was hallucinating or dreaming and he wanted to go upstairs in his house, but a HUGE hammer had slammed through the stairs and was still protruding there. At the end i think there is a scene at a bridge.

I know its really vague and thats why i havent been able to find any information on my own. Maybe if someone here has a lead or more info to offer, then i can resume my search.

Many thanks,

It sounds a little bit like The Lost Boys. Check that article and see if it might be the one. --LarryMac | Talk 18:36, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, The Lost Boys. There was a pretty cool song that repeated throughout the film: Cry Little Sister; Gerard McMann. The only thing I don't recall is this HUGE Hammer slamming around? Maybe you watched Pink Floyd The Wall then too. --i am the kwisatz haderach 19:12, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely The Lost Boys, except for the hammer thing, which does ring a bell for some other movie. Hmmm... — Kieff | Talk 07:07, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Song[edit]

I seem to remember back in the late 70's or early 80's a song that I could have sworn was the Eagles, but I can't find it anywhere and I haven't heard it in years. The lyrics are "You're either going to have to stop what you're doing to me right now...or you're going to have to keep doing it all night long". I can sing that line and in my mind it's Don Henley singing it, but I googled that line and came up with nothing. Any help? --SGT Tex 19:32, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I tried googling just part of the line, and it looks like the song is "Sure Feels Like Love" by Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers. --CrazyLegsKC 00:19, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Soldier Boy song[edit]

Does anyone have a snipet of the song that can be legally added to Wikipedia and played on the browser (beta)? Could you link me to the song page? Not the old song, the new one —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.150.163.1 (talk) 20:38, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am hanging on ... --69.150.163.1 20:59, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean Crank That (Soulja Boy)? Corvus cornix 22:15, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes! Thanks a lot. --69.150.163.1 23:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC) User:Kushal_one[reply]

Have a great weekend. It was really me who wrote from the IP address earlier today. I am not my sockpuppet, however! --03:06, 8 September 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kushal one (talkcontribs)

Incidentally, questions about Wikipedia should really go to Wikipedia:Help desk. They would probably give you a better answer, faster than this page. / edg 15:27, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

System of a Down song[edit]

System of a Down has a song called either "Patterns" or "Life Is a Pattern". Which is it, and which of their albums is it on? --zenohockey 21:14, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The song is called Patterns and is by Tony Iommi on Iommi. It features Serj Tankian, which is presumably why some sites credit it to System of a Down. Rockpocket 00:35, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense. Thanks! --zenohockey 03:03, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
