April 20[edit]

Best electronic music albums[edit]

I'm the kind of person that gets obsessed over "Best of" type lists. For instance, I've steadily been going through IMDb's top 250 films and currently only have 20 left to go (yay). I also am a big fan of electronic music, but have not been exposed to nearly enough. So I've tried to search the internet for either a top # album list from a reputable critic or a voter poll-type listing for electronic music. However, I don't seem to be having any luck. Anyone know of one? Lists for specific sub-genres (trance, glitch, ambient, etc.) are also good. (But please, no random suggestions of your personal favorites unless you happen to be very well listened.)--Remurmur (talk) 00:22, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Allmusic has a bit here with their list of top artists, albums and songs. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 01:52, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also bear in mind that there are many different types of electronic music. You may be thinking primarily of dance music, for example, or synth pop, but remember that people like Stockhausen were making electronic music back in the 50s. Don't overlook those early pioneers. --Richardrj talk email 08:16, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Check out Busy P's label Ed Banger. He's Daft Punk's manager and has many many good DJs under his label. Personal favorites: So_me, SebastiAn, and Feadz. Justice is also pretty huge right now too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.54.192.144 (talk) 19:22, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is the difference between the M rated Commander in Chief Pc Game and the Uk 16 rated one except for diferent publishers.[edit]

On the esrb website the same game got 2 different ratings. M and T. Which one is closest to being like the UK "Game" (the name of the store)exclusive one? Are the games the same?Darkside2000 (talk) 12:26, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would imagine so Darkside. Codes change very little. The stuff some people need to know!--Editor510 drop us a line, mate 12:54, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I Dream of Jesus on Family Guy[edit]

There is a scene where Stewie and Brian destroy Peter Griffin's copy of Surfin' Bird by The Trashmen with dramatic music in the background. Brian carries a baseball bat. Does anyone know what this is a parody of? You can view the video here. --Editor510 drop us a line, mate 12:51, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's from Office Space, the scene where they destroy a printer. Adam Bishop (talk) 13:11, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The song in question from both uses is, I am pretty sure, "Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta" from the Geto Boys. --Jayron32.talk.contribs 18:13, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Close. The song is actually "Still" by the Geto Boys. "Damn It Feels Good to be a Gangsta" was used elsewhere in the film. Frezno (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:55, 21 April 2009 (UTC).[reply]
