Folk song lyrics[edit]

There is an English folk song (modern, not traditional) with the last two lines being:

"And you'll regret The day you took me to see the vet"

It's about a fairy who grants a lonely woman three wishes, and the last one is that her tomcat becomes human. I'm pretty sure it was written in the early 70s, and the singer could be either Fred Wedlock or Ivor Cutler (unlikely) or someone like that.
