Discount Broadway tickets[edit]

Is there a way to get discount Broadway tickets? I'm planning for West Side Story, April 1-3. I found some good discounts but they expire March 21. Bubba73 (Who's attacking me now?), 04:49, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When I went to New York, I told the concierge at our hotel what we wanted to see a good two months before we got there. I called her back a couple times to ensure she knew I was serious. When we arrived, she had tickets for two of the three shows we wanted to see at half the price we would have paid if we got the tickets from the theater. I also found that the less popular shows have dirt cheap tickets for sale at a booth on Broadway. We really opted to go see David Letterman instead of another Broadway show - and we visited Rupert. His shop is much smaller than it appears on television. -- kainaw 06:47, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That is a good idea. We haven't gotten a hotel yet (and there are some hotel/ticket combos). Bubba73 (Who's attacking me now?), 07:29, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This won't directly help you, but Chicago has something called "Hot Tix" which sells discounted tickets for Chicago stage plays. I wonder if New York has something similar? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 11:31, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are several discount TKTS booths in New York City. See http://www.tdf.org/TDF_ServicePage.aspx?id=56 67.51.38.51 (talk) 17:12, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but that only has tickets the day of the performance (or the day before for matinees). We have a specific show we want to see so we can't take a chance on getting a ticket once we get there. Bubba73 (Who's attacking me now?), 17:19, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ireland V Wales Rugby[edit]

Which player holds the record for the most points scored for Ireland in a match against Wales —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.47.130.225 (talk) 09:51, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to this site, David Humphreys, 22 points in the 54-10 win over Wales at Lansdowne Road, Dublin on 3 February 2002. Ghmyrtle (talk) 07:37, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, spent some time researching the window between then and now to verify and believe this record still stands. Thanks again —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chacal8 (talkcontribs) 09:45, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

playstation 2 game - ben ten protector of the earth[edit]

I have reached the level where ghostfreak appears and gets into a wolf, then it starts attacking me .No matter how much i beat it it doesn't even get a scratch . How to kill it ? They show to click some rings but how? Please if anyone knows tell me . —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.163.37.29 (talk) 17:01, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GameFAQs has a search bar. Type the name of your game in, click the result, click on the link for FAQ's. It'll normally be full of complete guides, unless you've got a truly awful or incredibly ancient game. Vimescarrot (talk) 18:37, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While useful in most cases, in this case GameFAQs had no reviews or walkthroughs. How odd. Gamewinners has none either. in fact, my quick search on Google finds no walkthroughs at all. I don't know anything about the game, so I'm not sure why that would be. Vimescarrot (talk) 18:41, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I asked my six-year-old son, who has completed this game. This is what he said: go Wildvine and pull down the rings. This causes the area around Ghostfreak to light up and then you can defeat him. This goes on for three rounds. I pass this information on for what it is worth. Once you've done that you fall into a basement and then you have this puzzle where you have to move statues around and change the direction of the light. If you can't work that out, get back to me and I will ask my son for more help. --Richardrj talk email 06:27, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was pretty stoked when I saw that question and realized that I couldn't answer it but I knew he would be able to. Watch out for him on the maths, humanities and science desks soon – maybe I should open an account for him :) --Richardrj talk email 09:23, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As "Son of Richardrj"? Or maybe you're about to cease being a person in your own right and are about to become "Father of <whatever his name is>". Ah, the joys of parenthood. :) -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 12:49, 20 January 2010 (UTC) [reply]
