Corbet Woodall[edit]

Can you help find a few good sources for Corbet Woodall? He was a newsreader on the main BBC TV news 1963-67, when Britain only had 2-3 TV channels. He's in danger of being deleted and I'm sure there will be sufficient coverage outside the publicly accessible web. Obituaries may be a good place to start - he died 19 May 1982. Many thanks: Noyster (talk), 12:51, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article mentions an autobiography - surely that would be the ideal place to start? You could eventually run into issues by relying on a single source too much, but it would at least give you a bulk of information. Matt Deres (talk) 13:01, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I found some more details on this genealogy page; not a great deal of help, but his full name was Corbet Stafford Woodall and he was born at 3, St. James's-Square, (London) W.11, to the wife of EDWARD CORBET WOODALL. According to this (if I'm reading it correctly), Edward Woodall was the grandson of Corbet Woodall (gas engineer). Alansplodge (talk) 15:13, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Bingo! A biographical article in the magazine for BBC pensioners, Prospero June 2014 issue (p. 8). Alansplodge (talk) 15:27, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

name of the porn site featuring burqa-clad women[edit]

What is the name of the porn site that features women in blue burqa likes the ones worn in Afghanistan and do derogatory actions like being half naked and doing something with the qur'an but they never intended to insult Islam or Muslims? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.29.32.235 (talk) 13:52, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you type your exact question into Google, you'll get as good or better answers than anyone here will give you. That's because almost anyone attempting to answer your question will do exactly that, and if you do it yourself, you save time AND you have a better shot of finding exactly what you are looking for, rather than us trying to make guesses based on your two-line description. --Jayron32 13:56, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I'd love to see that site! If only to find out what can be done with the Qur'an on a porn site by half-naked women in a blue burqa that does not insult Islam or Muslims. Contact Basemetal here 17:57, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Beauty and vileness are in the eye of the beholder. A Muslim could enjoy the site guilt-free, so long as the computer's sound and light are turned right down. Still can't recommend it. InedibleHulk (talk) 03:00, 24 June 2015 (UTC) [reply]
Half naked non-Muslim women in burqas stumble upon a qur'an, start reading it and are converted, whereupon they cover themselves completely: a reverse striptease. Clarityfiend (talk) 20:26, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Those women are about as likely to be real Muslims as the ones dressed as maids, nurses, secretaries, etc. are to actually be of those professions. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 12:19, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
