August 5[edit]

uncredited child starlets[edit]

I remember seeing two little girls sitting on a front stoop in Coming to America. They looked at Akeem funny after he said to them, "I have a date with Lisa! Isn't that wonderful?" Who are the girls, and what are they doing these days? Anyone know?2604:2000:7104:2F00:8CAF:4948:CE4B:A9FE (talk) 05:58, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If it's not in the IMDB list,[1] it could be pretty hard to find. Though if you can find that clip on YouTube, it's possible someone here will recognize them, although that was more than 30 years ago. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 11:32, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I found something. Would this [2] provide more clues?2604:2000:7104:2F00:8CAF:4948:CE4B:A9FE (talk) 13:03, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Here --> [3] <-- are six minutes worth of end-credits for the film. Maybe the girls are listed here? But, since they did not have any speaking lines, it's doubtful. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 21:05, 10 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What had happened to the Ironclaw article?[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians.

Looking at the furry fandom ebook (still can't get the PDF, booooo) I have discovered that once upon a time there was Ironclaw article, but is present on Wikipedia no longer.

May I ask why it is so? Also, the article on Jadeclaw did not disappear, which is kind of interesting and mysterious.

I guess I could restore the article - thanks to either Humble Bundle or Bundle of Holding, I do not remember which one - I have all the books, but if there was some reason behind the disappearance that I do not know, I would like to not "work in vain" just for my article to get out of Wikipedia again.

Any thoughts and explanations are very welcome :)

Best wishes :) --Kaworu1992 (talk) 15:45, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It was deleted. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ironclaw. If you're tempted to recreate the article, you'll need to deal with the problems that caused it to be deleted. Citing Jadeclaw won't help, unless you'd like that deleted too. See WP:OTHERSTUFF. As it currently stands, Jadeclaw should also be deleted. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 16:09, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, so it was just a lack of sources? Sorry, I feel like there's some kind of context in this discussion that I am unable to perceive. Would giving a bibliography section with ISBN and other stuff be enough? Or do you need something more? Generally, I would very like to write this article, but I am still a novice when it comes to Wikipedia and I will probably make more or less faux pas and other errors. --Kaworu1992 (talk) 16:31, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The conclusion was "Delete... as non-notable". Which means there was a lack of sources that would confirm notability. --76.69.116.4 (talk) 02:45, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Every article on Wikipedia needs to satisfy WP:V. Or it'll be deleted for lack of notability. A bibliography might help a little, but inline citation will help far more. I suggest you work up a new draft in userspace or head to WP:DRAFT. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 16:39, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for all the responses. So instead of writing an article and giving just a bibliography below, I should make actual "references" to the book in a form of citation from it? That's what I should do?
And you are right, I think I will work on an article as a draft and then ask somebody to check it out later.
Again, thanks :) --Kaworu1992 (talk) 11:56, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
