The only major difference of notability guidelines for parts of this project applies to air accidents, due to censorship of mention of accidents in newspapers there is significantly less coverage of such Soviet air accidents even if they had other notable features such as high body count, hull loss, a design flaw in aircraft causing the crash, caused an aircraft to go out of service... etc. In that regard, the amount of news coverage given to an accident in the Soviet Union is not a good standard for establishing notability, but otherwise, all other notability guidelines apply.

Due to the fact that the geofocus of this project is the Soviet Union and CIS area, most media and press coverage of topics is in the Russian language.

Nearly of the topics here do lack ENGLISH press and media coverage - but that does not render the topics non-notable. Rather, it increases the importance of publishing Wikipedia articles, as the general public of the English-speaking world would have little to no access to the information otherwise.
