Introduction[edit]

The Indian Moths sub-project deals with approximately 10,000 Indian Moths. The aim of the wikibase is to form a useful resource on Indian moths for the global public, in general, and amateur Indian naturalists, in particular. Data is based upon species listed for India in Hampson (1892-1937) and Kendrick (2002 [2003]) and is checked for synonymy against Beccaloni et al. (2003). The articles authored for this project are named on the basis of the scientific names of the species they describe.
