Public Policy Initiative welcomes new class[edit]
A big welcome to the 31st class participating in the Public Policy Initiative this term, Winona State University's "Political Research Seminar". Taught by Professor Kara Lindaman, the course has 19 students who will be writing Wikipedia articles for class. See the course page for the new class.

Join Wikipedia Ambassadors for Editing Friday[edit]
Here comes Editing Friday! It's a casual event where Wikipedia Ambassadors and others collaborate to improve an important but neglected Wikipedia article, in real time. Want to try your hand at editing in a safe, friendly environment? Join us in working on the article "Personal life", from 7 to 11 p.m. Eastern time (or whenever near that is most convenient for you). We'll be chatting while we work, too, so it's a great chance to meet experienced editors and get help. Learn more.

Did you know that students participating in the Public Policy Initiative are all assigned a mentor to help them online? The mentors are Online Ambassadors, experienced Wikipedians with a track record of helping newcomers with content development.
