First Wikipedia in Higher Education Summit a success[edit]

Wikipedia in Higher Education Summit

More than 125 professors, Wikipedia Ambassadors, students, and Wikimedia staff gathered in Boston at the beginning of July to share experiences and learnings from the Public Policy Initiative at the Wikipedia in Higher Education Summit. Professors who are new to the program became very excited about using Wikipedia in their classrooms, while experienced professors gained insight from others' experiences. Ambassadors and students also shared wisdom with each other and participants. Learn more about the Summit by checking out the Documentation page, with videos, slide decks, and links to news articles.

Fall recruitment in full swing[edit]

Because of the success of Wikipedia in higher education during the 2010-11 academic year, we'll be expanding the Wikipedia Education Program to include courses from disciplines outside of public policy and countries from outside of the United States. Interested in participating? Email Annie Lin for more information.
