TFA blurb review[edit]

SMS Lothringen was the last of five pre-dreadnought battleships of the Braunschweig class, built for the Imperial German Navy. Launched in May 1904, she was named for the then-German province of Lothringen (now Lorraine). The ship was armed with a battery of four 28 cm (11 in) guns and had a top speed of 18 knots (33 km/h; 21 mph). She was scheduled to be replaced in July 1914 by newer dreadnought battleships, but the outbreak of World War I prevented her retirement. The ship and the rest of II Squadron joined the dreadnoughts of the High Seas Fleet to support a raid on Scarborough, Hartlepool, and Whitby in December 1914. She primarily served as a guard ship in the German Bight, but was in poor condition by 1916, and was withdrawn from fleet service in February. She thereafter patrolled the Danish straits until being replaced by the battleship Hannover in September 1917. After the war she was converted into a depot ship for F-type minesweepers, and in March 1920 was placed in reserve. (This article is part of a featured topic: Battleships of Germany.)

The "already" was removed during the FAC - you might want to pull it here too. Otherwise it looks good to me. Parsecboy (talk) 11:43, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Thanks Nate. - Dank (push to talk) 12:07, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, one other thing I just noticed - in the most recent ACRs, we've come to an agreement that units with roman numerals shouldn't get a definite article before them. Parsecboy (talk) 12:47, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. - Dank (push to talk) 12:52, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yup - this one apparently slipped through the cracks - it's fixed now, but there are no doubt many older articles that need to be fixed too. Parsecboy (talk) 12:53, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'll keep an eye out. - Dank (push to talk) 12:57, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've gone through and fixed all of the battleships, so that should account for most of the FAs where this would be an issue out there right now. Parsecboy (talk) 16:48, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Note: this is 1068 characters now (the max is 1025), but generally I'm not trimming if the blurb was reviewed this way and the FT was added later. If anyone wants to trim it, that's fine. - Dank (push to talk) 00:23, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
