Adding to Annual Metal Pages

I tried, previously, to add my favorite virtually unknown band, Damnation Angels to the 2020 in Heavy Metal Music page, and was informed that, in order to minimize clutter, only bands with pages can be added. So I contacted the band and got their permission to add them, did my research, and created their page, which is now officially pending review. What is the best approach going forward? Can I add them now? Or should I wait until the draft is accepted?

Thanks for any help you can provide. Okashiikessen (talk) 17:44, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Okashiikessen, first of all, bear in mind that you don't need permission from a subject to write about it on Wikipedia.
The article could benefit from more sources; currently half of them are self-published and Metal Archives is not considered reliable because its content is user-generated. Here are some good sources I found that could help reinforce its notability: [1], [2]. Victor Lopes Fala!C 19:41, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Victor Lopes, dude, thanks! I'll add these in. And, yeah, I know I don't NEED their permission, but I didn't want to do the work if they already had a gameplan for getting it up on their own. Also, I can't figure out why my link to the new metal albums list for 2020 isn't working above. Actual link: [3]
Still figuring out the various code bits here. Okashiikessen (talk) 14:09, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
Okashiikessen, article titles are case-sensitive, i.e. 2020 in Heavy Metal Music and 2020 in heavy metal music are technically different pages, but only the latter exists. Victor Lopes Fala!C 15:04, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
I've created the redirect so now 2020 in Heavy Metal Music redirects to 2020 in heavy metal music. --DB1729 (talk) 10:11, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
