Catholicism or Catholic Church?[edit]

Hello,

Several things to say re: this edit by Chicbyaccident with edit comment Category:Catholicism and society contains only matters pertaing to Category:Catholic Church from what I can see. Reverting undiscussed moved, diverting from long-standing consensus - please discuss.:

  1. This category is so named after this CfD discussion where it was explicitely argued that Catholicism is broader than Catholic Church and it should be broad here. This discussion overturned a previous undiscussed renaming by the same user now claiming "long standing consensus".
  2. This category does contain content pertaining to Catholicism at large or Catholicism as a belief and not strictly the Catholic Church as an organisation: Catholicism and atheism, Catholicism-related controversies, Catholicism and Freemasonry, Gender and Catholicism, Catholicism and politics, Catholic sports organizations, Catholic trade unions. Catholicism-related controversies in turn includes the likes of Antipopes and Schisms from the Catholic Church, which are by definition not part of the Catholic Church.

I therefore disagree with the justifications given to the revert. Place Clichy (talk) 15:09, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is getting tiresome. We can't expect users to repeat and circulate the same pro and con arguments in every single individual location. This confirms that we need to get the discussion centralised at Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(Catholicism)#Catholicism. Would you mind getting on there instead?
