Please forgive me, Oculi, but I'm honestly a little confused by your comment, seeing as you're the very editor who got Category:Media issues speedy-renamed to Category:Mass media issues in May 2020. I presume that was pursuant to the precedent established by the same CFD decision(s) that had already led to a great many "Media" categories being renamed to "Mass media", which is the preferred term in the vast majority of cases. That's what I was going by when I tagged a batch of subcats for renaming. (There are probably hundreds more that need renaming, but I needed a break... :)
As for Category:Alternative media, it is of course a subcat of Category:Mass media by type, but I decided to leave it alone for the time being, given that "Alternative media" is a pretty well-known term in it's own right... But those subcats are NOT well-established terms, and should be renamed, regardless. Hope that helps. Anomalous+0 (talk) 11:11, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
IMHO these could go forward as C2B, given the history of disambiguation of "media" categories between (i) the topic of mass media and (ii) Wikipedia media files. – FayenaticLondon 09:06, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
