Important caveat regarding non-public figures[edit]

I have added a note to the category page concerning the listing of non-public figures. Non-public figures should not be listed here unless their offense is relevant to their notability. Please see Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons for more information. Thanks! Kaldari 21:40, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dangerous category[edit]

As per the discussion on deletion of the sexual offender category, it seems this category has similar problems. It is inherently dangerous to say that a living person is a "rapist". Even if they were convicted of the crime, it's entirely possible they were wrongfully convicted. The article itself can present this information in an NPOV way, but this category is an absolute label, an unconditional assertion. I suggest renaming this category, and all subcategories, to something like "people convicted of rape"... "Italians convicted of rape", etc. Gigs (talk) 13:33, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. It should be people convicted of rape. And rape defined as any sexual act without consent. Dream Focus 03:28, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BLP[edit]

Should some note be made as to the legitimacy of placing this category on a BLP, using the legal principle of c.y.o.a.? WookMuff (talk) 00:36, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

homosexual rapists[edit]

That category is entirly missing. --41.151.33.134 (talk) 11:05, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
