Categorization[edit]

This category should not be made a subcategory of Category:Restaurants disestablished in 2020 or Category:Restaurants disestablished in 2021 because the pandemic spans both years, and there can be instances in which restaurants closed in 2020 or 2021 for reasons other than the pandemic. This category should only be applied when sources specifically attribute the closure to a pandemic, at least in part. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:06, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer, do you think we need to make it clear that bars are included, even if they don't serve food? I feel like that's part of the category. —valereee (talk) 21:16, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Valereee, Sure, or we can create Category:Drinking establishments disestablished during the COVID-19 pandemic? ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:20, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hm...how do we decide? We got a place here that is definitely a bar, but from 11-2 on weekdays they serve burgers. Drinking establishment, or restaurant? Is it a US thing that 99% of bars serve some sort of food too? —valereee (talk) 21:28, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
