This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by Robert McClenon 11 months ago. |

- Comment: PR and routine business activities are not proof of notability, read the links above. Please do not remove previous reviews. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs) 17:24, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: I am declining this for the exact same reason as Robert McClenon did back in June. You didn't bother to make any improvements? Qcne (talk) 15:09, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: This draft is written from the viewpoint of the company, focusing on what the company says about itself. Corporate notability is based on what independent reliable sources have written about the subject. Not every business corporation is notable, and this draft does not establish corporate notability. You may ask for advice about corporate notability at the Teahouse. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:40, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
Retail Capital LLC (dba Credibly), founded in 2010 in Michigan by Ryan Rosett and Edan King, offers financing to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). It has offices in Michigan, Arizona, and New York
History[edit]
Credibly was founded after the 2008 financial crisis as a joint venture with Crestmark Bank, member FDIC. The company initially focused on offering merchant cash advances.
In 2014, Retail Capital LLC received an investment from private equity firm Flexpoint Ford, and opened its New York office that same year. They also expanded their headquarters in Troy, Michigan.[1].
In 2015, Retail Capital LLC rebranded as Credibly, expanding its product portfolio to include working capital loans and business expansion loans[2]. The company also opened an office in Arizona.
Credibly also started a partnership with the Small Business Association of Michigan[3] to support small businesses in 2015.
In 2017, Credibly repositioned its WebBank loan origination program to offering loans directly through Credibly. The financing company also expanded business into servicing third-party receivables portfolios through its affiliate Specialty Asset Servicing, after winning the right to service the $250 million BizFi MCA portfolio[4]. That same year, Credibly hit the annual volume of $200 million[5] in merchant financing.
In 2018, the company announced[6] the securitization of its loan portfolio.
In 2021, Credibly announced its second asset-backed security in SMB lending[7] (ABS), up to $200 million. This was the first ABS within the SMB lending space since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2022, Credibly refinanced a $10 million Corporate Note into a five-year term[8].
In 2023, Credibly announced funding over $3 billion for merchants. They also announced a partnership with Green Dot to offer business banking services[9]
