Edward Chitham (born May 1932), is a British author and Brontë scholar. His published works include A Life of Anne Brontë (1991), The Birth or Wuthering Heights: Emily Brontë at Work (1998) and (with Tom Winnifrith) Selected Brontë Poems (1985).

Edward Chitham was educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham, and Jesus College, Cambridge.

He taught Classics in Rowley Regis for a number of years before working at Dudley Education College, part of the University of Wolverhampton. He was Assistant Staff Tutor at the Open University and was also Education Consultant for the National Association of Gifted Children.[1]

As well as numerous published works on the Brontës, Edward is a noted local historian publishing histories of his native Harborne, Rowley Regis and the Black Country.
