Draft:Global Centre for Risk and Innovation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) is an international non-profit research and innovation institute acting as global focal point for risk mitigation and resilience building.[1]. Established in 2016 at the World Social Forum and registered in 2018 in Canada, GCRI is dedicated to addressing global risks and fostering sustainable innovation [2] [3] [4] [5] [6].

In its role within the global governance arena, the Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) holds a distinguished position as a civil society member of key international financial institutions, notably the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF)[7]. Furthermore, GCRI's special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)[8] since 2023 significantly amplifies its impact in various international policy domains.
