"The Evolution of Remote Work: A Growing Trend"

Remote work can be done at home or elsewhere, meaning workers do not need to go to the office. Remote work has been around since 2010, but this type of work re-emerged and developed rapidly at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which impacted the policy of staying at home for a long time. After the COVID-19 pandemic, this type of work continued and became a trend because it provided convenience. According to a survey conducted by Deloitte Global, 55% of companies worldwide allow their employees to do remote work.[1] This refers to the suitability of the opinion said by Julie Brightley-Davies, Head of Global Mobility, RELX: "HR and businesses need to determine how much support they want to give to people who work remotely because of personal choice versus business needs. How do you manage it from a business perspective? And how do you get your people to work together as a team? All of these things need to come into play. [2]

The Benefits One of the reasons for remote work is because of the convenience it offers. Here are the benefits you can get when you become a person who works remotely:

1. Flexibility of time and location You can determine your work location by working remotely based on your needs. If you want, you can work and take a vacation simultaneously!

2. Cost-effective Remote work helps you save on daily transportation costs because you are not required to commute to the office every day.

3. Greater quality time Working remotely allows you to be with your family for a longer time. You don't have to wait for home time or break time to get together with your family or loved ones.

4. Possibility to get additional work

Remote work allows you to have one or more jobs as long as you can share your time. In addition to the conveniences mentioned above, there is another convenience for those of you who work remotely, namely, no need to wear formal clothes to work like a job that is not remote. "Work clothes? What is work clothes... If you work remotely, you don't need to think about it, the most important thing is that you wear comfortable clothes," said Puti, one of the remote workers who gave her response on the Quora blog.[3]
