Ima Okonny is a Canadian-born data executive and the Chief Data Officer of Employment and Social Development Canada,[1] she advises on data ethics, artificial intelligence, and impactful leadership cultures [2]. In 2023, she was recognized as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women Top 100[3] and she was awarded the Insight 250 award.[4]

Early life and education[edit]

Okonny was born in Ottawa to Nigerian parents[5] and she obtained a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) in 1998 from Carleton University[6]
