Joseph Green, known professionally as Joeyy (sometimes also stylized as Jxxyy), is an American rap artist and producer.[1][2][3] Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island,[4][5] he garnered online fame in 2023 due to his avant-garde style of music and internet memes made out of his highly retouched selfies.[6][3] Working across several genres, his music has been described as adhering to Jersey club, plugg, cloud rap, and alternative hip hop.[7] He has also been referred to as a Christian rapper.[8][1] Joeyy is associated with the artist collectives Shed Theory, #1Team and the controversial comedian Sam Hyde.[7][1][9] He is currently based out of New York City.[5][7]

He released his debut project, To: You From: My Mind, in 2011. After releasing two more projects in 2013 and 2014, his 2018 extended play God Left "marked a significant evolution in his sound, showcasing a polished and refined musical style".[1] He has since released several singles, including Bubble Bass, Gout, From, and Eminem.[3] In the summer of 2022, his song featuring a series of bizarre producer tags went viral on the social media platform TikTok.[10] In 2023 he released the album MIRY, and embarked on a concert tour titled "NOD", which refers to the temporary stupor experienced during recreational drug use, especially the beverage lean.[11][3][7] Since completing the NOD tour, he has subsequently announced a Canadian and Australian tour.[1][12]
