Meher Sheikh[1] is an Entrepreneur[2][3]and former news anchor. She is the co-founder and director of Papr Network[4] and the CEO of Nikology[5], a YouTube channel[6]. She is also the founder of Globolosys Fashion and plans to launch her own fashion label, Sotbella.[citation needed]
Early Life[edit]
Sheikh was born on October 8, 1996 in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi in a Muslim family. She grew up with her sister who passed away in 2014. Meher completed her schooling from Jamia Millia Islamia. and pursued higher studies from ISOMES in 2016. She was offered a job as an anchor at Daily Hunt in 2020 & later she joined News 24 as a full-time sports anchor.She is also married to Abhishek Ray Singh.[7]
Career[edit]
Meher started her career in fashion at Crimson, a fashion export house in Noida, in 2013. She worked there as a junior fashion merchant for three years. However, her childhood dream was to become a News Anchor. To pursue that dream, she enrolled in a Journalism & Mass Communication course at Isomes.
After completing her studies, Meher got an internship at Times Network. Although she received a job offer after the internship, she turned it down because it wasn't a full-time anchoring position. But in 2020, she got a job as an anchor at Daily Hunt.
Later on, Meher joined News 24 as a full-time sports anchor, where she could focus on reporting sports news. This allowed her to finally achieve her dream of becoming a News Anchor.
She has also conducted interviews with notable personalities such as Pratik Gandhi, Adil Hussain, and Swara Bhaskar.[citation needed]
