Overview: The Mosonie Socio-Economic Foundation, a non-profit organization based in India, was established on September 21, 2015, under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. It is focusing on initiatives in the Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya. The foundation operates to create sustainable and harmonious coexistence by addressing societal challenges through various domains. The Mosonie Socio-Economic Foundation is working towards encompassing education, environmental conservation, food processing, health, housing, microfinance, support for MSMEs, renewable energy, nutrition programs, tourism development, vocational training, women's empowerment, and child welfare.

Leadership: Liinai Margaret, Ringbila Pungding, RinlanPhungther, Panii Savitri Salome, Vungngaihlian, Dr. Krishna Sharma, and Kaikha Patricia Sapriina Mao.

Initiatives: 1. Eri Silk Processing Exploration (17 Aug 2023): The Mizoram Sericulture Department, in collaboration with Eri Silk worm farmers was two-day exploration of Eri Silk processing intricacies in the field areas of MOSONIE SEF. It consists of worm care ton spinning to introduce ways of spinning that reduces environmental harm.

2. Women's Empowerment through Eri Spinning Training (13 Jul 2023): The two-day Eri Spinning training at Diwon Village helped twelve women with the latest modern technology, aimed at reducing the drudgery associated with Eri spinning.

3. Backyard Poultry Rearing and Management Training (9 Jan 2023): MOSONIE SEF organized a one-day training on backyard poultry rearing and management, helping farmers in four villages. Dr. Krishna Sharma, a retired professor from the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati, served as the resource person, covering essential topics.

4. Health Camp on International Menstrual Hygiene Day (8 Jun 2022): In commemoration of International Menstrual Hygiene Day, MOSONIE SEF organized a health camp at Nongspung-A village in collaboration with Young Indians, Guwahati Chapter, and Akanksha Hospital.
