OpenCode is open source computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS). It supports analysis of text.

Opencode provides code-and-retrieve functions for content analysis, including:

  • importing text from word processing programs
  • condensing text segments
  • assigning codes to segments of text
  • synthesizing codes (developing a code tree)
  • writing memos
  • finding words in text
  • searching for codes and associated segments of text
