Kajal Sen was a Rajput of Sisodia dynasty who was a descendant of Bappa Rawal (AD 712). Hence Rao Isardas was a Sisodia Rajput of Bappa Rawal dynasty. Hema Gehlot's mother's name was Ganwari daughter of Premsi Solanki and wife's name was Parvati daughter of Ramouji Deora.

Mandore Arrival of Rao Hema Gehlot[edit]

When Inda Rana Ugam Singh Pratihar of Balesar came to know about the bravery of the soldier Kshatriya brave Shiromani Rao Hema Gehlot, then he sent a letter to Rao Hema Gehlot that Mandore would be occupied by the Tughlaq dynasty (Aibak Khan) and atrocities, looting, cow eating would happen in the coming days. Therefore, after hearing your bravery and courage, we invite you to come to Mandore. After appointing Pradhan, Kshatrani Parvati Deora (wife) and Rao Khekho, Narsingh, Mohan, Titho (uncle) Theerpal, Kelo, Popo ji (son), other family members along with their entourage along with their clan goddess Shri Baan Mata ji and Ishta Dev. Kala Gaura put the idol of Bhairuji in Chhabri and left from Kuchera, Vikram Samvat 1446 Chaitra kr. On Monday (12 March 1389) the idol was installed and worshiped and consecrated in Mador on Shukla Paksha Navami. A few years after Hema Gehlot's arrival in Mandore, due to the weakening of the Sultanate in Delhi, Subedar Jafar Khan of Gujarat became the chieftain of Mandore and Nagaur and appointed Aibak Khan as his ruler over Mandore. After Aibak became the ruler, he started harassing the farmers for paying more taxes, due to which the farmers were ruined. Parihars and the landlords around Mandore did not have enough power to compete with these Turks. Apart from the normal tax, Aibak demanded 100 bullock carts of grass for his horses from the Bhoomi jagirdars of Mandore, but these people refused to pay additional tax to the Turk Aibak. The farmers asked to collect the revenue from their Inda Parihars, Aibak did not accept this condition and kept pressing for 100 carts of hay. Seeing the increasing problem, Ugam Singh, the head of Inda branch under the leadership of Rao Hema Gehlot, thought of an idea. In such a situation, it will cause trouble, why not plan an attack on it and drive away these Turks from here forever and re-capture Mandore.

Battle of Mandore (1394)[edit]

According to the plan, they sent 500 warriors from the villages, four soldiers in each bullock cart along with their weapons and hidden them in sacks of grass and the soldier driving the bullock cart was also covered with flowers and leaves along with the weapons and sent 500 soldiers in 100 carts to Mandore Fort

[edit]

. Parked it at the door. Hakim told Aibak that he has brought grass worth Mujra, please look at it. Aibak's nephew showed cruelty and threw a spear into the grass, which hit the thigh of a Kshatriya warrior. He cleverly wiped off the blood and allowed the spear to go out. Due to the delay and difficulty in getting out the spears, the carts were filled with grass and the commander's nephew took them inside, where as soon as the carts were opened, 500 soldiers emerged from the grass and attacked the Turks with enthusiastic slogans (Come, fight and conquer). It rained like rain and killed Aibak's soldiers. Roamed around the entire fort of Mandore and massacred. Killed Aibak and his companions and recaptured the Mandore fort. He eliminated Turkey from Mandore and freed it from foreign rule. On the occasion of which, even today, on the next day of Holi, a victory procession of the Sainik Kshatriya community is taken out in the guise of Rao ji (all the Gehlots of Mandor are descendants of the brave Shiromani Rao Hema Gehlot).

Diplomacy with Rao Chunda of Mandore[edit]

The state was established due to the courage, bravery and valor of Rao Hema Gehlot. But the Inda Parihars did not have enough power to handle the regained power of the Inda Parihars because Nagaur was still under the rule of the powerful Turks. On the other hand, the Rana of Chittor was also trying to capture the power of Mandore, but Inda Parihar thought that it was impossible to save the power from the Turks, why not hand over the kingdom of Mandore to Chunda of Mandore, the Rathores who were becoming powerful. Inda Parihar married his princess to Rao Chunda and gave Mandore in dowry. Pradhan Rao Hema Gehlot coronated Rao Chunda, showing his wisdom, tactics and foresight. So that Mandore can be saved from the attacks of the Turks.
