Swaroopinii Narayan was born to a Kannada-speaking family in Kolar, Karnataka. Following the success of Drishya, Swaroopinii went on to play a key role in Akash Srivatsa's thriller Shivaji Surathkal (2020), where she acted alongside Ramesh Arvind. Her performance received positive reviews, and won her a nomination for the Best supporting actress at the 67th Filmfare Awards South. [4] The same year, Swaroopinii played the female lead in Karthik Saragur's Bheemasena Nalamaharaja [5], which had its direct premiere on Amazon Prime Video, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[6] [7] The film, which was produced by Rakshit Shetty's Paramvah Studios won her a Best actress nomination at the 67th Filmfare Awards South. In 2021, Swaroopinii returned to play her debut film role Sindhu Ponnappa in Drishya 2, [8] [9](the sequel to the 2014 flick Drishya) which won her good reviews for her performance. She went on to win the Best Supporting actress award for Drishya 2 at SIIMA 2022. [10] [11] Swaroopinii made a cameo appearance in the 2024 rural comedy entertainer Moorane Krishnappa [12], and is currently filming for a Kannada - Telugu bilingual, making her foray into Tollywood.
