Dec 2024 submission
[edit]Heya, thanks @Hullian111 for your comments. May have been harsh but no point putting it softly it was very helpful. Since I have:
- Removed duplicate links to other pages. This differs on some articles as I wasnt sure so i went with repeating them.
- Have removed the Wikiprojects from *this* page in the source editor, if this isnt sufficient then let me know Ill adjust it wherever else is needed.
- With bustimes citations, larger changes like bus withdrawals require approval and will sit in pending until approved, until which time nothing will visibly change (all of this AFAIK, correct me if needs be). There are two bustimes cites, and on one of them ive also linked to the company's own route listing to back this up.
- In regard to the organisation significance, I opened the draft again recently from deleted as there are major changes, they are acquiring more vehicles and hiring more staff soon as there are big service changes. I'll update the article as news comes, where I can cite it. I compared to existing articles to make sure it wouldnt look out of place or pointlessly small, and from what I've seen it more than qualifies. There is independent journalism, and they have a sizable footprint in one of the UK's major regions which is expanding further. Compared to: Strawberry (bus operator) (was tiny, is defunct and existed for all of about 4 minutes) Artsmark (article is miniscule and a quick google search gets you more than this in about 30 seconds) Leyland Swift (all citations but one come from one website that hasnt been touched since 2014)
- Companies House citations were two different pages, but understand it may be unecessary. I've removed the first one and just added one to the end of the paragraph instead.
- Am going to add a factfile on the right hand side of the page, and another section on their free NHS bus services during COVID.
- "May not know which Diamond" - I've made references to Diamond uniform as 'Diamond Bus' to refer to their west midlands operations. This company does not trade as "Diamond Bus West Midlands" or similar, the company that operates in the West Midlands, Worcestershire, and Warwickshire trades simply under the 'Diamond Bus' brand, as opposed to Diamond North West or East Midlands.
Let me know if anything needs adjusting here
Thanks for your feedback,
Jake

- Forgive me for the late reply, been a tad busy IRL, but fair dues on having a good crack at the suggestions. I'll admit, the AfC rejection commentary doesn't really give you a lot of tips and advice, so after having a quick glance over, you've made some good improvements. Just a bit of tidying here and there, and though you might still get dinged for WP:ORGSIG - can't comment on that, I'm not sure what constitutes a notable independent bus company to be honest - it stands a much better chance at AfC approval.
