Morenazi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Morenazi or morenaryan are derogatory terms to describe non-white,[1] or more directly mixed race[1] and black neo-Nazis,[2] who show support or sympathy for National Socialism, Nazi Germany, the personality cult of Adolf Hitler[2] and more directly white supremacism.[3]

Term[edit]

The term emerged after World War II, since the discourse of white racial purity managed to creep in with some nationalist movements critical of the republican democratic system in Latin America and Spain. Morenazi people receive the typical stereotype of their once North American and European part: racist discourses, specifically anti-Semitic,[4] of racial superiority in favor of whites[4] and conspiracy theories such as the persecution of whites and repudiation of non-white immigrants.

Arguments in favor of Nazism in non-whites[edit]

Neo-fascists in Spain.

People labeled as morenazis often argue that they sympathize with National Socialism because of their "defense" of traditionalism, homeland, political historical revisionism and anti-Zionism.[3] In addition to their xenophobic discourse, it has been recorded that Morenazi groups, also show homophobia, transphobia and anti-communism, so that for some they are part of the extreme right.

Relationship with white neo-Nazism[edit]

For neo-Nazi groups in North America and Europe, morenazis are not part of neo-Nazism, since they are not Caucasians. The position of the racist portal Stormfront when consulted was:

There is no such thing as National Socialist blood, what exists is Caucasian blood, and only Caucasians can be National Socialists.[This quote needs a citation]

Critics[edit]

The Israeli newspaper Enlace Judío, in Spanish, made a report called Los morenazis: con la suástica por dentro, about neo-Nazism in Mexico, where the interviewer of Jewish origin describes the morenazis as totally ignoring the issue of racism in white supremacist neo-Nazi circles:

I tried to visualize that chubby, doe-eyed dark skinned on Aryan Propaganda posters or marching in the imposing military parades of the Third Reich (...) I wondered if the guy was unaware of the fact that Mexican immigrants were among the favorite victims of neo-Nazis in the United States.[This quote needs a citation]
