Vote totals[edit]

Although 7 million is not totally outside the realm of possibility, it's still an extremely high number. I'll leave it on the page for the time being, but it definitely warrants a discussion. Aclany (talk) 22:37, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

– These were not elections to the Directory. The way the term "Directory" is used at Wikipedia is highly confusing, but these titles do not help. Srnec (talk) 17:58, 20 January 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 01:49, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. According to the 1795 article: "A third of the seats in the Council of Five Hundred and the Council of Ancients". And according to French Directory#Directory takes charge: "On 31 October 1795, the Council of Ancients chose the first Directory from a list of candidates submitted by the Council of Five Hundred."
