Peer Review[edit]

This article has many great strong aspect to it. I believe the charts are a strong aspect because it is a good visual aid and it has alot of powerful information about this page. Also, I believe that there is great information that I never knew before reading this page, which lead me to be more educated on this topic. There was alot of important facts but i believe that some of the section could go more in dept such as the first paragraph the short summary could give more basic information about this team. Also, the season section could be longer because that is where most of the facts will come from and what the topic is mostly about. Another section could have some more information is the post season stating how the guys did in the nba the information you put made me want to know about how they did in the nba. I believe that she got here information form good source such as tarheelblue and others, which gave her great information(152.23.33.9 (talk) 15:35, 24 March 2009 (UTC)).[reply]

The article has great structure and organization as it begins giving the roster, followed by the break downs of the different part of the year and season. The roster, statistics, and schedule charts are a vital part of the page as these stand out from the text and are make it much simpler to convey the information. The page is perfectly unbiased considering that you go to UNC. There are few weaknesses in the article but a couple nit-picky things could maybe be tweaked. For instance, there is nothing wrong with the intro paragraph, but maybe emphasizing more how this was Dean Smith's first year such as, "The 1961-62 season marked legendary coach Dean Smith's first year as head coach of the tarheels" or something like that, just to give it more allure. For the article being about the '61-'62 team, the pre-season section has quite a bit more information than does the actual regular season. Your references show you have done some valuable research with great sources, and there is probably not much about this season being how long ago it was, but try and search out any more information you can that could help add depth and length in describing the season. Also, in the the post-season section where you talk about players getting drafted, mention how they fared in the pros, and despite the internal link to Larry Brown, briefly mention how he becomes a successful coach himself. Another question to be raised is has Carolina had any sort of sanctions against them since this happened? Otherwise the article is very interesting, well written, and enlightened me to the fact that this is why Frank McGuire was fired. Great article, good luck finishing it up!
