I'm considering a RM, but I don't think it's quite clear what the scope of this event will be yet, so I don't have any proposal yet. A related strike in the oil industry doesn't appear to have been too substantial, and some of the organizers are claiming it is people who want to overthrow the government. Finally, the various highway blockades are probably more disruptive than the strike itself (though the article is unclear on that point still; I'll hopefully find out as I copy-edit and check Portuguese sources with Google translate).

Thanks for the ping. A strike as I understand it is a "work stoppage" and if that's truly what this is then fine. My reading of it though is that they're setting up illegal road blocks which is a very different thing. If it's the latter, then "labor unrest" or similar would be more appropriate, and the lead should reflect the scope of their activities.
Thanks for checking the Portuguese sources -- I started to but just lost interest. --LaserLegs (talk) 23:09, 1 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
