Whoopie doo[edit]

I saw a car that went off the Interstate and wrecked in the median. I'd better go start a Wikipedia article about it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.230.161.142 (talk) 21:40, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Really? An explosion killing 2, injuring 18, and damaging 200 homes and businesses isn't notable? *shrug* ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:02, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As a former broadcast news reporter, I agree with Another Believer regarding notability. In the United States, the virtually every-day occurrence of a car merely going off a highway and wrecking in the highway median is insignificant compared to an explosion that kills two people, injures many more, and wrecks a large number of homes. An argument that the explosion is not notable based on a comparison to the automobile scenario is laughable. If we're going to discuss notability, let's at least use a serious argument. • I'm gonna say the notability tag posted on this article is flawed - industrial explosions are rarely events not to write home about. They're infrequent, have a decent impact, and often get significant news coverage. Kirbanzo (userpage - talk - contribs) 02:03, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    Kirbanzo, I'm going to remove the tag. ---Another Believer (Talk) 02:05, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

@TiMike: Thanks for adding coords. Do you know how to add a map as well? ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:56, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer: yes, I do! TiMike (talk) 02:06, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
TiMike, Thanks, I'm not seeing a map field for Template:Infobox event, so I'm struggling to add one. ---Another Believer (Talk) 02:43, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Another Believer: hmm, I've done it only a few times, but not recently. If you google wikipedia map template you should be able to find it.
